A New Start, chapter 1

Roxi was a normal girl with a normal life. She lived with her parents out in a small house. In the middle of nowhere. She grew up with no electricity, no technology, and no music at ll. She has been home-schooled for all of her life and did not have any friends. Her parents were old and usually sick and they would fight in the middle of the night out side hoping Roxi wouldn't hear them and they were right, most of the time. One day when Roxi and her father were out side on a nice hot and sunny day, they decided to just lay on a grassy hill until her mother would call out for them when dinner was ready.

After a log while, Roxi's mom finally called them in. Roxi rushed in the house but her father just laid there not moving, not breathing. Roxi called her mom to come out to see what is wrong and it had turned out that Roxi's father had died while laying next to her. It was some time before her mother called her fathers attorney to have some way to have a nice funeral for him.

One night while Roxi was doing some homework in her room she looked out the window and saw that there was a man walking toward her house. She ran down stairs and saw that there was a man in a very nice suite standing outside of her house. The mans hair was gelled back, his eyes were wide, his teeth were white and shinny like his shoes. Roxi had never seen some one so well groomed and hid behind the door so he couldn't see her. Her mother welcomed the man in and followed them in to the living room to hear there conversation they were about to have.

"Hello Denise. I haven't seen you in a while". Said the man.

"Hello David." Said her mother.

"I am very sorry for your loss."

"I knew it was going to happen, but not so soon."

Roxi's mother started to cry. The man gave her a red tissue from out of his jacket pocket.

"Thank you"

"Now, I know that you and your husband haven't been working for a while and you haven't really been to many other places then here."

"Yes, thats right."

"And I see here that in Jerry's bank account he had some money in there."

"Really?"

"Yes, and since then the money has accrued much interest."

"Really?"

"Yes and according to the file here you and your daughter has inherited... $90, 000. 00."
