All the Songs Have Been Erased, chapter 1

I wiped the tears from my eyes as I drove down the boulevard, my eye makeup smeared all over my face. I had been crying continuously for the 10 minute drive plus the 5 minutes it took me to leave for a grand total of 15 minutes.
At the stoplight I finally picked up my cell phone and started to dial Adie's number, chocking back on my tears. The more the phone rang the more I was trying to hold back from crying, the more I did cry. When dear Adie finally picked up I couldn't stop myself, "Adddd-iiie." ; My voice was shaky.
"Stephanie? Dear, dear, hun, what's wrong? You sound like your father just died." ; Oh it was so great to hear her voice, so calming.
"I... I- He- Tre- crossed line... Said... He said- I mean," ; I was crying hysterically now.
"Honey, dear, where ARE you?" ; Adie always remained calm. "I'm a-at the 7 E-e-eleven by your house." ; I sniffed. "Okay, good, your on your way. I'll be outside, waiting for you, I promise dear. You keep yourself in good shape for the next two minutes, and then I'll handle the rest, okay?" ; Adie said. "I'll try." ; I answered. "Good, I'll see you in two." ; And I hung up.
How did it get to this point? Was it all going to end tonight? Everything we had worked for for the past 2 years, was going to end? How? Ahh, I really hoped that Joey and Jakob weren't home, I didn't feel like a run in with them. Then again, they were 16 and 19 now, so most likely they were out on a Saturday night like this. But the twins were probably home, I mean, did 7 year olds really go out this late?
I thought back through everything that we had been through, from the beginning, since I had been 14, around 8 years ago. And now it was all coming crashing down, my life, my family, my friends, my everything.
