Speechless And Redundant, chapter 32
When I got to the lobby, I looked Mike and Tre in the eyes, then left. They knew exactly what had happened. I numbly walked through the hospital doors. So suddenly, my life had fallen apart, right in front of my eyes.
Nobody's POV
Auberi's funeral was held two weeks later. Billie sat there, staring into the distance. He heard the priest talk, but he didn't listen. He gave a eulogy, and he put his entire heart, what was left of it, into what he was saying. When it finished, he walked home. It started to rain, but he couldn't care less. His body was numb; Billie Joe felt nothing.
Billie's POV
When I got home, I sat on the couch in the apartment. Without Auberi, the apartment seemed so...empty. I tried to watch TV, but I couldn't focus. Her last words to me were ringing through my head. "Remember my promise." How could she expect me to move on? How could she expect me to live without her? She was my life!
Mike's POV
"C'mon Billie! It's been almost two years! I know you loved her, but you've got a life! You have me and Tre! We need you!" I pleaded, trying to drag Billie off his couch. He had deep, dark bags under his eyes that seemed as if they would never go away. He was always drunk. But it had been two fucking years! "Billie Joe! Do you know how fucking disappointed Auberi would be if she saw you now? She would want you to move on and find someone. I know that you will never, EVER find someone like Auberi. And I am NOT telling you to replace her, just, find someone who will keep you company," I cried. "Fine, Mike," Billie said rubbing his eyes, "I will go out. I'm...gonnna go for a walk, I guess." "There we go, Billie Joe!" I patted him on the back. Billie walked out the door, leaving me in his apartment.
Billie's POV
"God what is wrong with me? I know Mike is right...but I can't just move on," I sighed to myself. I started walking, going in no particular direction, and hung my head. Lost in thought, I walked blindly. BAM!!! I crashed right into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying...Oh!" I murmered. I looked up and met a pair of green eyes. Bright green, never-ending pools of color. I bent down to pick up the book she had dropped, trying to clear my mind. I picked it up and read the cover. A Dummies Guide on How to Play Guitar. I laughed adn handed it to her. I studied her face while she fumbled to take the book. She was gorgeous. Green eyes, blond hair, adn a nose piercing.
