As We Continue to Fall, chapter 4
His hair was gone! HIS HAIR WAS GONE! Holy Shit his hair was gone. Sam gapped at the sight before her Billie stood tall and proud next to his wife and he was completely bald.
"What did you do man?" Tre and Mike asked in unison. Billie patted his head he put a look of shock on his face.
"My hair's gone?" He asked, everyone laughed except for Joseph who was completely lost to the world. "Yeah we decided that Joey's hair is so important to him that he had I would switch. Of course he has no choice in the matter but that's what parents are for." Billie said as he held up a newly made wig. Adrienne went over to her sleeping son and began to brush out his hair, it came out in clumps already, and she put it into a small box she had with her. Sam watched, as she finally was finished, almost forty percent of Joseph's hair was gone.
"So how was he? After the treatment?" Billie asked after a moment of silence. Awkward silence if you asked Sam. She watched as Billie sat in a chair Adrienne next to him in a tiredness that seemed to still the room.
"He was a trooper. We came and he insisted that he walk without anyone's help, of course we ended up carrying him back to the room." Mike said still in awe of what Billie had done to himself. Tre took up the floor being the dramatic storyteller "We brought him back, and got him a bucket, then we saw the poster that Sam had of us on the wall. We were in shock but then decided that because she has yet to go crazy fan girl on us, that we should let her off." Sam buried her head in her pillow. This couldn't be happening! She had been so careful, when she brought her head back up Billie was staring at the poster.
"This is from one of my favorite tours, that was the first tour I let Joseph come to a show with me. So you really are a fan why did you lie?" His green eyes penetrated her heart and she burst into tears.
"I didn't want you to know and then I wouldn't have to move, its not like I don't like you guys but I just didn't want to leave Joseph..." She was blubbering and snot ran down her nose. Billie and Adrienne approached her.
"We wouldn't have moved you, you've been here a few days without trying to get an autograph or pestering Joey. We've decided to let you stay." Adrienne said, Sam whipped her eyes the best she could and smiled. It was the first time she had truly smiled since she had been here. In the back round she saw Tre and Mike looking at a newspaper and then at her "Billie, take a look at this." Billie went over and got the same look on his face as Tre and Mike had.
"Local Musical Prodigy Samantha Kay Trentston Heir to the Infamous Trentston Billion: Injured in a Car Accident After Attending Green Day Concert." Tre said reading the headline. He continued down with the article.
"Sam, as she preferred to be called, would have been attending The University of Iowa in the fall for a jump a head class in music composition. As most know her father was Kay Trentston, the owner of the once huge Kay Industries, after his mysterious death in 1998 the only heir to his fortune was his first child Sam Kay. Sam began playing the piano at three, then she picked up the violin, flute, harp and the guitar. At five she began to compose her own music and picked up three more instruments. At seven she began competing with children twice her age in international music competitions. At ten she stepped out of the lime light but still practiced and composed, she had over three hundred works by this age, and maintained a perfect grade point average. She is now sixteen years old and has a 5. 0 grade point average at the local high school, she inherits later this year on her fathers death anniversary.
She was riding in the car with whom her mother identified as Jay Marks, her current boyfriend. According to authorities has a series of minor offences, which landed him in jail for two years, he was also a known member of the AA and the drug community. Jay died the morning after the crash from an air bubble that traveled to his heart during sleep. Sam's step father Max had this to say "Sam's a good girl but she hangs out with the wrong type of people, and I'm sure that this 'Green Day' band is a purely satanic cult that lured this precious angel into drinking and drugs." Later that day Sam's brother Tucker said "Sam is perfect, she always has been lets face it she's a genius, and Green Day isn't satanic its punk. Max isn't our stepfather he's just another dick that has come into our lives trying to get Sam's money which has gone from 4. 5 billion to over six billion since my fathers death." All that this reporter has to say is that we all here hope that little Samantha gets better and that she'll be inheriting in four days." Tre finished the article and they all turned to stare at her, she blushed turning as red as her cast.
"What?" She said trying to play it off, it wouldn't work though they were already coming to surround her.
"What do you right?" Billie asked, Sam knew that he wrote songs but he wouldn't be interested in her stuff.
"Um... When I was little I wrote symphonies, sonnets, orchestra, jazz, pretty much anything, now I write songs when they come to me, but none as good as yours." She was trying to be humble, but it was hard to do when you had three hundred plus songs under your belt.
"Well see, when does your arm heal?" Billie asked "What else do you play?" Mike said, "Are you a banger or a blower most of the time?" Tre asked holding up his sticks. Sam smiled and closed her eyes.
"My cast will be off in a few days, I play bass guitar, percussion, all brass instruments, all reed instruments and the mandolin, I love to bang but blowing and strumming are a passion my father taught me unless you count piano as banging." She was happy, this was cool having Green Day surrounding her. Sam then turned to see Adrienne writing something in a note pad and then crossing it out. She saw Joseph stir and her heart jumped into her throat he was okay.
"Joseph's waking up!" She exclaimed, and all three of them ran to his side, Adrienne hid what she was writing and quickly grabbed her sons hand.
"Hey guys... Dad where the fuck is your hair?" Sam giggled at the swearing he must only do it when his dad was around. Billie did the 'oh my go my hair's gone' routine again and Sam laughed. Sam watched as the wig was given and Joseph began to cry, she also noticed that Adrienne looked incredibly nervous. When Joseph fell back to sleep, she asked Billy to come out in the hall with her. Sam had a bad feeling, but brushed it off as she went to sleep.

Billie,
I know that when we took our vows it said, for better or for worse. Well this is to hard for even me to be able to stand.
With Joseph sick and Jakob showing signs of having something as bad or even worse than what Joey has, I just can't take it. I'm completely drained, I often wish that none of this had happened that Green Day had never happened, that we had never happened. Well I'm going to see this wish threw. I would like to get a divorce or at least separate until the boys are better. I don't like the feeling of being helpless and that is what this situation is doing to me. I hope you can understand, please tell Joey and Jakob that I'm sorry but I just need a time out.
