Please Don't Wake Me Up When I'm Dreaming, chapter 5
We all got pancakes for breakfast. None of us liked the plane food, but we were starving so it didn't matter. After we were done eating, Mike and I got into a debate over waffles. I have no idea how the subject came up or why we were arguing about it, but I found it amusing, anyway.
"The blueberry ones are better, Mike, and you know it!"
"Nuh uh, strawberry!"
"No fucking way! Blueberry is much, much better."
"Hey, first of all, watch your language. Second of all, strawberry is THE BEST and you so totally fucking know it!"
"Whatever you say, Mike. Whatever you say."
"Yep. Whatever I say! I am God!" At that, Tré and Billie both looked over and smirked. "What the fuck is so funny?!"
"You..." Tré started as his face turned red from holding in laughter.
"God..." Billie finished for Tré, also turning red from holding in laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" The two laughed together, rather loudly. A stuardess walked by.
"Gentlemen, please quiet down. It is quite early and you are disturbing the other passengers." She walked away as the two men struggled trying not to laugh.
Those four decided to have a conversation about something I didn't understand so I just left them alone and decided to call Ryder.
"Hello?" His mom answered the phone.
"Is Ryder there?"
"Uhm, yes. Who's calling?"
"Tessa."
"OK, hold on." I could hear her calling for him and him in the background yelling "I'm coming!".
"Gah! Hello?"
"Hey, hun. I'm really sorry about last night. I didn't mean to make you angry or anyth-"
"It's fine. So, when'd you say you were coming home?"
"... Five months. Five long months. I miss you so much already."
"I know. I miss you too. What the fuck am I supposed to do with myself if you're not here?"
"Do what you always do. Crack." I said, giggling a little.
"Ooh! I completely forgot about that. YAY! Hey, what's all that noise in the background?"
"I have no idea. Billie, Mike, Tré and Araxie are talking about something. I had no idea what it was so I decided it would be a good time to call you... I didn't wake you did I?"
"It's about 6:30AM, here. But I was awake."
"Oh, OK, then. Good. I think I'm going to try to get ahold of my dad. I really need to thank him for all of this. I love you and I'll try to call you tonight. Bye!"
"Love you, too. Bye, Babe."
I dialed my dad's cell and waited for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Tiffanie. It's Tess. Is my dad around?"
"Yeah, hold on a sec."
"'Kay."
"Hello?"
"Hey, dad!"
"Hey, what's up?"
"What do you mean 'what's up'?! Like you don't know!"
"Haha, yeah, I know. Happy?"
"Of course! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you and a million more times, THANK YOU!"
"You're welcome. I figured you'd like it."
"You never told me that Tiffanie was Green Day's manager's sister. Why not?"
"I don't know. It didn't seem important. But I mentioned to her that you liked Green Day and she got all of this worked out for you and Araxie. So, really, she's the one to thank."
"Well, I have to call Jer and tell her. Tell Tiff I said thanks and I love her. Love you, bye!"
"Bye."
YAY! I couldn't wait to tell Jeremie. I bet she's still asleep. I'm surprised my dad was awake. Oh, well. This news is too big to wait for. I dialed Jer's number and waited for an answer. Nobody picked up so, I guessed they were still asleep. I just sent Jeremie an E-mail from my cell. She'd be online the second she wakes up so, she can read it, then.
"Hey, was that your dad?" Araxie asked, a hint of excitement in her voice.
"Yeah, why?"
"Mr. T! The Shmexii Bitch!" We both laughed as all three of the guys just stared at us in confusement.
"You think her dad is shmexii?" Tré asked with that stupid little smirk he always has. It was cute, though.
"Hell, yeah!"
"What about me?!"
"Awww, Tré, no one could ever be as shmexii as you. Except for maybe Mke or Billie, over there." I said, winking at him.
They all went back to their conversation about one thing or another and I decided to go back to sleep. I could litterally sleep my life away if I was allowed.
