A Pair of Star Crossed Lovers, chapter 5
Billie sat there staring at his wife with an almost blank expression.
"Billie", Adrienne asked placing a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"
Adrienne had just told Billie everything. She had told him all about her being a Montague, why she had to run away. She had even removed her contacts and told him her actual hair colour was jet black. She knew he was going to react like this but it still bothered her.
"So... So... You've killed people", Billie looked directly into Adrienne's now blue eyes.
"Yes..... And you have no idea how much I regret it", Adrienne looked down at the floor as tear started to form in her eyes.
"Why, couldn't you tell me?", Billie asked.
"It would have been too dangerous", Juliet said, she hadn't spoken the entire time and felt that she aught to put a few words in. "There is a high bounty on her head from the Capulets and the less people that know the better."
"They want me dead?!?", Adrienne turned to Juliet her eyes wide with fear.
Juliet mentally kicked herself. She had forgotten that her sister had been gone for so long and knew so little about recent events.
"After you killed Sampson and his wife", Juliet began. "The Capulet family put a five hundred thousand dollar price on your head that still exists today. There was one for Benvolio, but they got him."
"Ben.... Benvolio is dead?", Adrienne sobbed.
"They got him two weeks after you left," Juliet said. "In retrospect it was almost a wise decision for you to leave at that point in time."
"I had no idea", Adrienne cried as Billie put his arm around her.
"So you see Billie no one can know about this. Not Mike, not Tre not even your sons", Juliet said. "If anything gets out they'll kill Adrienne and probably you and your kids as well."
"What do I say to people when they see me with you?", Adrienne asked. "I am not going to avoid seeing you just to hide my identity."
"We can just tell them I am an old acquaintance", Juliet said. "I have friends outside of the family and its fine, no one suspects anything."
"But Tre and Mike, they knew who you were", Billie said looking over at Juliet. "They'll know something's up."
Juliet sighed, this was more complicated then she had wanted it to be.
The three sat there in complete silence.
"I don't know about you two, but I am beyond tired", Juliet said. "I got to get some sleep."
"Ok", Adrienne said standing up to give her sister a hug. "Call me later ok."
"Yep, Bye Billie ", Juliet waved.
When she was out the door she took the stairs down one flight until she got to her floor. As she got closer to her room she noticed the door was open. Taking out her gun she held it out in front as she entered the room.
"Anyone here?", Juliet yelled." is there....."
Juliet was cut off when she tripped over something. Turning around she felt along the ground until she touched something... Something that felt human. Flicking on the light Juliet let out a scream. There on the Hotel floor was Mercutio's dead body.
