The Children Of Rage & Love (Sequel to Give Me Novacaine), chapter 1

The years following that day in New York were quite stressful for the couple, They were able to convince the kids that the the year and a half in New York was so Natalie could catch up with old friends and Billie could spend more time with Joseph and Jakob.

And even though they were very much in love which was plain for the world to see, the media called Natalie Billie's mid life crisis, gold digging slut, ticket to stay young and so many things it completely tore her up but very slowly. Always picking on her when Billie would take her with him to any televised events they would ask her what it was like to have Adrienne hate her, which she knew wasn't true but it still got to her when the fans would write fan mail to Billie telling him to leave her and get back with Adrienne because Natalie was just some "teenie", who got lucky he never responded and he made it clear various times that they were in love and that Adrienne had also moved on. But it was more fun for the media to torment Natalie. So every few months Natalie would runaway by herself never calling anyone to let them know she was fine let alone alive. It killed Billie every time he would come home to find a baby-sitter taking care of the kids and her car gone, Natalie didn't seem to care though it seemed all her mind was set on was trying to cope with being the rock star's cheap gold digging whore waiting for him to die just because he was 12 years older then her. Before she ran away one time though when Vero was about 8 years old and Carlos was 7 they had packed an overnight bag and tried to follow her and doing her best to keep them away Veronica's words kept her their for more then one reason.
"You leave and papi cries so let us leave because I hate seeing daddy cry take us with you or don't leave mami." Natalie couldn't leave and broke down into tears promising to never leave again, but she had to one last time.

Natalie had been depressed for a while and she was having suicide contemplation's she figured that a therapist would help her but instead he advised her to check into a mental institution because she was far more depressed then he could comprehend and he said he couldn't do much to help her because he had given her the strongest anti depressant and he had seen little to no change in her behavior. When the media had gotten hold of that did they ever have a field day with her. Calling her psychotic, unbalanced and a menace to society with a nice rack. Billie had several talks with the magazines who were publishing her as some maniac with a great body and charming face who was ready to snap at any moment because it was affecting him and his work, it was bad enough his family all thought he was stupid for leaving Adrienne in the first place but now that they found out she was in a mental hospital they had pretty much gave him an ultimatum either his wife and children or his family. He loved his family but for them to have him choose between his wife and kids was not right and they pretty much lost all contact with him after the publishing of all these articles.

It didn't take long for the doctors to diagnose Natalie with Bipolar Disorder they had her on medication to keep it under control and she was finally able to step back into society nearly a full year after being kept under solitary confinement for being to violent at times. The kids had never been happier to see their mother waiting for them to get home from school. Billie and Natalie had both decided to keep her condition hidden because as long as she was on her medication it was all fine. That is when she took it, when she either forgot or didn't feel like it life in the Armstrong home was a disaster, She would be perfectly fine one minute then when the kids would leave she would burst into tears at how they were growing up to quick, and out of nowhere she would accuse Billie of cheating on her just like he cheated on Adrienne because she was getting old and he only loved what kept him young. At first Billie Joe had no clue on how to deal with Natalie bursting out of nowhere into these episodes that nearly drove him insane. But he learned that he had to make sure she took that pill every day and night to keep herself under control. And even though Natalie felt that Billie was going to get sick of it one day and finally leave her taking the kids with him he never did he stayed with her until the very end.

Tre and Andie on the other hand had a bit of marital issues to get control of since Andie's mistaken infidelity and unsure pregnancy Tre had been unsure of Andie's ability to be trusted again. They had a bit of a seperation during which time Andie and the kids all moved in with her sister Jenny down in San Diego and Tre lived by himself for a year or so keeping in touch with his kids and seeing if Andie was fine and had everything she needed. After that the couple decided to take things slow by at first just casually going out and seeing if the other had met any other interesting people but neither felt anything for anyone but each other so after coming to an agreement they moved back in together and the kids couldn't have been happier especially Johanna who had a crush on little Carlitos since she was about three. The triplets had all missed Veronica, Carlos, Jonathan and Rocio. So moving back to Los Angelas was the greatest thing in the world for all of the Wright family. But even though they loved each other with all their hearts Tre was never really able to trust Andie again because of that one stupid mistake and sometimes if Tre looked hard enough he found something in her that Billie had even though she looked almost exactly like Tre and had his same personality and sense of humor which grossed everyone out a bit, and even though Andie loved Tre no matter what she knew he couldn't trust her it was his best friend and it was her best friend's husband she broke the two people's trust she valued more then anything and it was all her fault. What made it worse was that when Natalie didn't take her medication it was phone call after phone call from Natalie telling her that she knew she was still fucking Billie and that she would kill her one day because it was her husband not Andie's there was on conversation in particular that left Andie in tears for days and kept the two friends angry at each other for weeks.
"Your a whore!" Natalie screamed.
"I was drunk it was 4 years ago you said you had forgiven us!"
"You a low down cheap slut no better then Kathy."
"Well at least I'm not crazy."
"At least I don't go around giving my friend's husband's blow jobs skank hoe."
"Who said it wasn't Billie that blew me?"
"Because your a low down cheap slut, how many times have you fucked Mike huh?"
"I may be a slut but at least I know I'm sane and not Billie's hussie." After that conversation neither spoke to each other for embarrassment, anger, and their egos but in the end Andie had to take into consideration that Natalie was indeed sick with a disease and that something like that on her brain would be something she would bring up out of the blue and it was something she had to understand that it hurt her more then words could say, and being best friends like them they were going to push past this just like with everything else.

Mike and Diana seemed to live the most peaceful life together out of all their friends, they had one more kid after Jonathan a little girl they named Rocio after Diana's mom who died a few years after Diana and Mike had gotten married due to spousal abuse. Her husband beat her to the point that she had memory loss and at first Diana thought it might have been due to old age and it was nothing to be worried about. Her mom had never mentioned him hitting her she actually made him seem very caring loving and a good man, that's why that fateful three in the morning call was the biggest shock in her life. Her lungs had collapsed and she had 5 puncture marks in her chest all aimed for her heart. Diana couldn't understand why her mother had lied to her and she could never stop feeling guilty she regretted it so much she was driven to an early grave, Mike died three years after the doctors said it was because of lung problems but they all knew it was a broken heart and even though they missed their parents Diana and Mike's kids knew were both happy now. And since not Rocio and Jonathan were adults when their parents passed they were able to cope with the death of their parents fine. The band disbanded the day after Mike's funeral because it would never be the same if they replaced him because it wouldn't be Green Day anymore it would be Billie Joe, Tre and some replacement guy. No one seemed to mind though after more then half of their lifetime making music they enjoyed being able to relax and spend their last years together n leisure with their friends and family never worrying about touring and making records anymore. And even though Green Day loved them very much they wouldn't have to deal with anymore fans because frankly after more then 30 years of making music they were tired of having to go from arena to arena dealing with those few fans that always seemed to manage to get past the barracks and jump on stage to throw themselves against the members of the band. And making music for no reason seemed a lot more appealing then being pushed to make it for money to the aged punks.

Until the next ones time came.

Billie was the next to pass, he was about 75 when he died like his father cancer was what did him in. Lung cancer to be specific even though the doctors had found his cancer early on Billie couldn't give up cigarettes and sadly died 6 months after he was diagnosed with cancer, Natalie took his death very hard she hated him for not giving up the cigarettes and leaving her so unfairly, Veronica and her brother and sister felt the same but they were more sad then angry especially since a month after he died Natalie had a heart attack and was in the hospital and in convalescent homes constantly since she refused to have a personal nurse in her house.
"I don't need no damn stranger in my house." She would say whenever her kids would try to convince her to hire helpers.

After Billie died Andie followed even though she was younger then Tre she fell victim to diabetes and it knocked off a few years to her life, and it pained Tre because her death was slow and rather painful. She was fine at first but soon after she lost her eyesight and kept having to goto the hospital month after month and then it somehow affected her heart and they performed an open heart surgery which would turn out to be her downfall. During the operation something happened and Andie died on the operating table. Tre couldn't forgive himself for agreeing to the performance of his surgery no matter how often his family constantly told him he did what he though was best even if it wasn't but no matter what Tre felt it his fault he lost his wife of over thirty years, his friend the mother of his children and his love. He only pushed forward because he loved all his children and he wanted to live to see his first grandchild even if they would never know their grandmother but he would tell them stories of the great woman she was and how dearly he loved his bride. The day of Andie's funeral all the friends children decided to sort thru their parents belongings to make something like a scrapbook or photo album for their parents the finding of all these things would change everyone's life drastically permanently and not in a good way. In a way worse then any of their parents had ever been hurt in anyway whatsoever.
