When You Least Expect Something Like Vampires After Adrienne And Billie Joe..., chapter 26
So they were all running to the hospital, out of breath...
"W-what if we dont get there in-time?!" shouted Tre so his voice could be heard over the engines of cars.
"We will, you know Billie, he wouldnt let us down, never," said Joey as they were turning a corner and the hospital was in sight.
"C'mon Billie, hang in for us ok"? Mike said as they reached the hospital doors and rushed in. The nurses and doctors stopped and looked at the limp Billie in Mike's arms. The nurse grabbed a bed and Mike layed Billie on it. They gave in Billie Joes details as Jakob watched Billie being moved into another room. But what Jakob saw shocked him, none of the others saw it. As the doctor closed the door they took Billie into his eyes flickered red and he grinned at Jakob, as did the nurses. Jakob looked around to see all the other nurses and doctors getting on with their jobs but their eyes were also, blood red. They exchanged glances at Jakob and then smiled as they saw Billie in the other room. Jakob tugged at Jakie's shirt to get her attention but she told him to hang on while she filled in the form. He tried tugging the others' shirts or jeans but they told him to be patient and carried on filling in the form with Jakie. Jakob had had it, he knew something was wrong, his dad was in trouble, and the people who are meant to be helping him, are up to something!
Jakob walked off cautiously to the room that his father was been held in and peered through the window and saw...wait, that's wrong, we escaped from them, didnt we? Jakob froze when he saw the vampires that Jakie had locked the door on were in there holding a knife up against Billie's throat. Billie had awoken and was scared shitless! He was forced to walk closer to the open window and was pushed outside of it whilst Vampire Tre was holding onto his tie around his collar, causing Billie to choke. Jakob couldn't handle Vampire Tre, Mike and what used to be his mum on his own, he had to get help. He couldn't get the doctors or nurses to help, they seemed to be under some sort of control. He had to go back to Mike and the others before it was too late! Jakob reached back to them and they had finished filling in the form, he tugged harder at Mike's shirt.
"Uncle Mike Dad's in trouble! He's gonna die!" Mike was speechless as were the others. Jakob ran whilst leading the others up the 8 rows of stairs and into the room. They swung the door open and they all saw what Jakob had seen, but Billie looked more pale and unconscious, well, drowsier than he had before. He was hanging lifeless over the edge on the outside of the window...
"Tried to lock us out, try to save him?! Well I can't be bothered no more, we'll be fine without him as our leader, he can just die for all we care!" Tre loosened his grip on the tie and Billie was hanging even more over the edge of the window. The cool breeze was stinging his face. Vampire Mike and Adie laughed at the fact how Mike, Joey, Tre, Jakie and Jakob were just standing there, not been able to do anything.
"Say Goodbye to Billie Joe now!" Tre was about to let go of the tie when Mike jumped on him forcing him to the ground. He grabbed the knife and slit Vampire Tre's throat harshly over and over again. Vampire Mike and Adie looked at him scared for the first time as Mike pounced on his evil twin, forcing him to the ground as well. His hands grasped tightly around the vampire's neck. Not looking like he would ever let go, while the others told Joey and Jakob to leave the room, Tre and Jakie grabbed Adrienne and did the same.
"This is what you deserve for what you did to my friend! For all the shit you put him through, now you're gonna die!" Mike said as his grip tightened on his clone's neck. Suprisingly all three dead bodys began to melt slowly, almost burning Mike's hands so he let go. The bodies disappeared and all the doctors outside the room were looking dazed and confused, but no longer looking evil.
"Where's Billie?" said Jakie as she looked around the room, not seeing him anywhere, then she saw it. The white bloodstained tie hanging on the window ledge...blowing carelessly in the wind...
"No, please, no!" She ran to the window and cried as she saw the lifeless figure on the concrete...
