All Happy Endings Have Their Flaws, chapter 2

We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a parking space. And it was far from the stadium. I sighed, getting out and locking the car door.
"Oh shit!" Sara said.
"What is it?" I looked at her.
"Listen." She demanded.
So I did. I could hear a band far off. FUCK.
"Oh SHIT! The opening band!!"
"We have to RUN."

So we ran. We ran through the cars in the parking lot, nearly ramming into a few of them. Sara accidentally set off a car alarm. I busted out laughing as we kept running, making it to the concert. We ran to the entrance.
After another 10 minutes, we received our bracelets that showed we were on the ground. We HAD to get to the front of the stage. I NEEDED to see him. Maybe he was the only reason I was going. Hm. Maybe.

Mike Dirnt.

***

The first song I had ever listened to was Longview. I remember when I listened to it, I was maybe 13. I remember the bass. I felt it right in my chest. The bass pounded through me, and I received shivers every time I heard Mike's voice. And that bass.

Dirnt, Dirnt, Dirnt... Was all I heard. Those deep, addicting noises coming from the background of every song.

We finally reached the inside of the stadium. Everyone was screaming and yelling, beers cups careening in every direction. I looked around, and tapped a guy on the shoulder.
"What's going on??"
"They're coming' on!!" He screamed through all the other noises.
I grinned widely.

This was it.

The first time I was going to see them.

"Okay, let's go." Sara said, and we did. We began to push through the crowds on the ground, fitting our way through. We pushed through the crowds, laughing and smiling. It was so damn exciting. I was actually going to see them! Him!! We made it to the fence on the right side of the stage. I chuckled.
"Must be our lucky day, huh?"
"These sods are too drunk to notice anyway." My friend laughed. And I laughed back. We looked up at the stage, hanging onto the barricade. Sara gripped my wrist tightly, and bit her lip.
"Ohmigod! This is it!!"
I smiled back.
"Yeah.. I know."
She gave a devilish grin, and rummaged through her pocket.
"Oh, uh. I forgot to show you these."
I cocked a brow, and looked at what she was holding.
"I figured you would like them, huh??"

My felt my face turn an abnormal shade of white.
