There Were Places We Would Go At Midnight..., chapter 2

Billie held the door for her as she stepped inside her hotel room. still carrying a box that partly blocked her view. She set it down on a table, flicked her hair back and sighed. She turned around, saying "There, now I can finally see who you-" she stopped short, as her eyes fell upon the figure behind her, and had to put her hand on the table to steady herself. "Oh, my god. You're-you're Billie Joe." Billie looked jokingly surprised, and surveyed himself as if never having seen himself before. "Are you serious? How come I never noticed that?" The girl laughed. "So you know me, huh?" Billie said, slightly deflated. PLEASE don't let her be another stalker fan, he prayed. "Well, yeah," she replied. "I'm, sort of here to see your show. There's no other reason to come to Oklahoma." She laughed, as did Billie. "Yeah, I'm starting to get that impression." Billie chuckled. "I didn't get your name." "It's Sarah," she replied. "Sarah Green. My friends call me Sarah Green Day. It's pretty sad." She smiled at him, and he smiled back, and suddenly the world and Green Day and Adie and everything he had ever known didn't matter anymore. All that mattered was this, this moment, this perfect moment that should have lasted forever but didn't.

Two hours later and empty bottles from the mini-bar were strewn across the room. Billie was cracking up as Sarah tried desperately to read the Trivial Persuit card in front of her. "What b-bas-base-ketball player died yesterday? Wait..no...Oh, man, I don't fucking know." Billie snorted and suddenly they were in fits of laughter once again. There was a pause in the laughter, and Billie watched as she leaned in towards him, and suddenly her lips were on his, and the world was spinning, and then he remembered Adie..Aw, fuck Adie, this was better.
