Mike's Drunken Gamble, chapter 25

Two weeks later...

Mike woke up in hospital, with all his famliy and freinds standing by him.

"Hey-guys!" he said very weakly.

"How you doing?" Asked Billie Joe.

"Fine. Hows' Tre?"

"He's alright, they got the bullet out, didn't go to deep,"

"Thats good," Mike said whilst siging.

Suddenly his two children came in.

Billie Joe looked at everyone else.

"We'll leave you three alone," Billie Joe said.

The rest left and the kids and the children and their dad was left alone.

"Hey guys,"

"Hi dad," they both said whilst hugging him.

"A little to the left guys," both children laughed, heck even Mike managed to crack a smile.

Finally Mike was let out of hospital, a couple of gigs were canclelled, but the kids were finally back with their dad.

About a mont later, Billie Joe got a parcel through the post.

It was from Mike.

"Hey Adi?" he asked upsatirs, Adi came down.

"Yeah hun?"

"It's from Mike," he said showing the parcel to Adi.

"Well open it up!" Billie Joe opened it up.

A letter fell out of it.

Dear Billie, Thank you so much for being there for me and my famliy, withouut you or Tre, I wouldn't have made it, great picture eh?
Mike.

"Huh?" asked Billie Joe sort of to the letter.

He noticed a photo on the floor.

Billie Joe and Adi both cracked grins.

There was Mike and both his kids, grinning liked possesed baboons.

'Well well, looks like miricals can happen! ' it said on the bottom of the photo.
"Yeah, they sure do,"

Billie Joe's point of veiw...

The last time I saw Mike that happy, well I can't remeber, and I know it isn't just because of the photo, he is relly happy.

That night, as I lay on my bed, next to Adi, I thought about the photo, which I layed on the bedsided table.

"Miricals really do happen," I said to myself as I fell to sleep
