Nobody Is Perfect, chapter 4
It was time to leave. Everything had been packed and the money that the trio needed was either stolen or earned in each of their pockets. Whatsername left her parents a note saying what happened and where she was going, and it was the truth. They quietly walked out of the house and down to the station to catch their bus.
"I can't believe we're doing this," said Jesus of Suburbia with another big grin on his face.
"Yeah. Neither can I," replied Whatsername in a sad voice.
"What is it Whatsername? I thought you wanted to come."
"I do. It's just hard to walk away from home or ride on a bus away from home."
They put their bags under the seats since they weren't big enough to go in that compartment in the side of the bus and sat down. Jesus of Suburbia in the window seat, Whatsername in the seat by the aisle and Brad next to some old, smelly lady but across the aisle from Whatsername. Brad pulled out that container of cookies he dropped that morning and opened it to eat.
"You eat too much," commented Whatsername with a small chuckle.
"So what. It's not like I gained a pound," replied Brad as crumbs of cookie flew from his lips.
Whatsername winced and wiped some of the cookie off of her face.
"Sorry," added Brad.

It was 12:00pm and the bus made a quick stop. The three best friends had been on it for about two hours and couldn't wait to get off. Whatsername lightened up a bit, reminding herself that she would still go to school and she would see all of those bright lights. Jesus if Suburbia remained quiet for most of the ride which made Brad and Whatsername a little nervous but soon enough they would be in Las Vegas and happier than ever, from what they thought. Maybe he was just afraid of what was to come.
