We Are The Kids Of War And Peace, chapter 10

"Not long, not long at all", Mike told them both putting his cigarette away
"Mikey...", Pippet let out. Mike shook his head and put his hand up.
"There's no need to explain", he told her, "I can see and understand why". He turned slowly to walk into the house again before his sister stopped him.
"Mikey, you wont tell will you?", she asked. Mike shook his head.
"Just promise me you wont do it again", he told her. Pippet looked over Mike's shoulder at Tre and nodded hugging her brother.
"Mikey, why is this all happening to me? Its not fair, its like the whole world wants to ruin Billie Joe and I some how but in a way I know it my own fault", she explained. Mike hugged her close letting her gently cry into him. Pippet made her grip tighter and became slowly more emotional.
"Pippet its alright, everything happens for a reason", he explained to her.
"Mikey its not, the worlds against me. If everything happened for a reason and everything was going to be alright I'd be fine. The baby would be fine and I wouldn't have cancer", she explained.
"Wait you have the cancer?", he asked. Pippet bit her lip. Before this all she had made it look like it wasn't going to affect her.
"Pippet, tell me please what's happening?", he asked her looking down at her. She shook her head and tried to look away but he made her stay.
"PIPPET!", he said sternly.
"okay, okay...", she started, "But you cant tell Billie Joe".
"I'm not going to its your news to tell him", Mike explained. Pippet took a deep breath and slowly explained how the cancer was affecting her fallopian tubes and how it might eventually reach the baby if it grew fast enough.

"Pippet, why didn't you say something earlier?", he asked her. She shook head.
"I didn't want to worry anybody with it", she explained crying a little more. Mike rubbed her back a little more letting her shed tears into him.
"Come on inside", he told her walking her into the door. Billie Joe was waiting for them at the backdoor and when he saw his wife crying he got the wrong impression.
"WHAT DID TRE DO TO YOU?", he asked clenching his fists at his sides. Pippet shook hear head.
"He did nothing Billie", Mike told him taking cover for his sister, "We just got a little emotional... it's a brother sister thing". Billie Joe walked over to her and hugged her compassionately letting her sob into him. He stroked her hair and wrapped it around his fingers playing with it/.
"Billie Joe I think we need to talk", she explained to him. He nodded and kept his arms around her walking with her to the front yard. The couple sat down, Pippet in Billie's lap and they stayed in silence for a while.
"Billie, there's something that I've kept from you for a while and I'm thinking that I should... .", she said being cut off by a emotional kiss.
"Just stay quiet for now, I already know the doctor told me", he explained holding her closely and tightly.

"But... ", she let out being cut off by another kiss.
"It doesn't matter, we'll work through it, I promise my princess", he explained to her, "Everything is going to be okay". Pippet nodded and kissed Billie's cheek gently resting her head on his shoulder gently nuzzling him as well.
"What ever happens I'll always love you", she whispered.
"And I'll love you too", he replied being awkwardly disturbed by Jared tapping him on the shoulder. Billie turned around to see his son crying and rubbing his eyes.
"Awe honey what's wrong?", Pippet asked him puling him into her lap. Jared cuddled his mother and didn't let go, like something had happened.
"Mommy, Aunty Katty's being scary and I got a mouse twap on my finger", told her crying. She took the bandaid out of Jared's pocket that he had and wrapped his finger up tightly.
"You'll be okay honey, don't cry please...otherwise you'll make mommy cry"...

-IN THE HOUSE WITH TRE AND MIKE-

"How could you?", Mike asked angrily.
"Do what?", Tre asked pulling a shirt out of his draw.
"Tre don't act stupid with me I was out there long enough", he explained.
"Long enough for what?".
"To see you stick your tongue down my best friends wife's throat".
"Dude, don't take it so seriously it was only a little pleasurable
"Pleasurable!! If you don't remember I don't like men using my sister as a pleasure toy".
"Dude like I said relax, it was only something small and Billie's not going to find out", Tre told him.
"What do you mean he's not going to find out?", Mike said raising his eyebrows.
"You wouldn't", Tre threatened him.
"Watch me", Mike announced walking out of the room. Tre stayed in there being sure Mike wasn't going to say anything. Mike didn't wasn't Pippet to get into trouble so there was no way Billie would find out.. but for now Tre was safe, until Pippet eventually decided to tell Billie. Tre threw the shirt down onto the bed and walked out of the bedroom in a search to find Pippet.

-WITH PIPPET AND BILLIE IN THE BEDROOM-

Billie kisses his wife again to cut her off.
"Billie would you stop doing that?".
"What I cant be affectionate to my wife?".
"No you keep cutting off what I have to say to you".
"I'm not honey", he told her kissing her again.
"Billie please", she told him pushing him away.
"But honey please", he started up again hugging her. Pippet had to admit the attention was nice but not to much, that was just eventually intolerable.
"Please can you just listen to what I have to", she said being cut off. He made sire the kiss completely took her this time making everything up to her. Emotionally it was what she needed. Something from him to make herself sure that he still loved her and he wasn't going anywhere.
"I love you", he told her quietly looking deeply into her eyes. They were full of love and passion. Something he missed but it was alright now everything was sorted out between them.

"Ah Pippet can I talk with you", a voice said whilst knocking at the door...
