We Are The Kids Of War And Peace, chapter 9

"What are you talking about?", Pippet asked him, dropping her hands to her sides. Billie Joe shook his head and turned away. He felt a hand go onto his shoulder.
"Billie Joe", Pippet whispered softly. He shrugged her off.
"Just leave me", he told her sternly.
"Billie...", she asked him again. He turned to her and looked down at her crying.
"Just go", he told her wiping his eyes. There was no use though. More and more tears came out.
"I'm not leaving you", she told him seriously taking his hand. He tried to pull away but she kept her grip on.
"Billie Joe just tell me what's wrong! Tell me how you're feeling, please", she asked him again. He remained silent.
"Okay I'll admit I did take last night a little to harshly. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did and I'm sorry", she told him apologizing. He kept his head down and shook it gently.
"No its me, I shouldn't have acted like that. You're my wife and I love you, they're just friends and there's no use in trying to make them happy. The only one I should be trying to make happy is you", he told her continuing to get teary.
"I love you Billie Joe", Pippet said softly. He remained quiet.
"I know you do, its just", he started. Within a few moments all his thoughts abut past relationships and time with other women came into his head. 'Should I tell her what I'm thinking or the way I feel? What do I even feel? Do I even love this girl?', he started thinking. Pippet let go of his wrist and sat down on the bed fixing her dress.

"I love you Pippet", he whispered.
"I know Billie Joe", she replied thinking nothing of it.
"No I mean I love you Pippet", he repeated. She looked up at him fixing her straps.
"I love you too", she replied as he took a seat next to her. Pippet involuntarily leant in against him letting his arms go around her waist.
"I hate it when we fight", she whispered kissing the side of her head. Pippet closed her eyes and nodded gently.
"I hate it too, but I guess it just comes out", she told him. He held her closer rubbing her stomach gently.
"Cant wait for the baby", he let out resting his hands on her stomach gently humming to her.
"I don't ever want to fight again".
"We wont".
"But...".
"We wont", she told him hard-heartedly, "We wont". Billie nodded and held her even closer letting the moment sink in.
"Can I tell you something?".
"Go ahead".
"I don't think the baby's going to survive".
"Don't think like that".
"No Billie Joe I'm being serious, I don't think I can manage". Billie wiped the tears away from her eyes and looked deep into her eyes.
"The baby is going to be fine. You will be fine. We're all going to get through this". Pippet nodded as the two shared a soft and delicate kiss between one another.

"Mommy, daddy I got the towel", Jared sung running back into the room. He jumped up onto the bed and looked at his parents holding a massive overside beach towel.
"When I meant towel Jared I meant tea towel", Billie Joe told him smiling. The two parents watched their son trying to unwrap the towel from around him. Jared failed but fell on the bed looking like a hotdog as he giggled and wiggled about. Pippet smiled and unwrapped her son before he stood up and announced news.
"MOMMY UNCLE TRE IS CRYING AND SO'S UNCLE MIKE AND AUNTY KATTY", Jared told them putting his hands on his hips. Billie Joe and Pippet looked at one another before they got out of bed and made their way down the stairs to see the three others crying together. Katty and Mike sat on either side of Tre hugging him closely, all crying for a different reason.
"I'm going to be a dad".
"I'm going to be a mom".
"I'm going to be an uncle again".

Pippet and Billie Joe looked at each other.
"Mommy why's aunty Katty getting fat like you?", Jared asked his mother rubbing her stomach like he had seen his father do. Pippet looked down at him raising an eyebrow.
"I mean love fat mommy not bad fat", he said innocently Pippet smiled and hugged Billie.
"Katty you're pregnant?", she asked. Katty nodded and started crying even more. Pippet hugged her as tightly as she could. Katty hugged back not waiting to let go.
"OMG PIPPET!!!!", she exclaimed.
"OH MY GOD KAT!"
"OH MY GOD!!!" Both yelled.
"WE'RE HAVING BABIES!!!!!!" Katty yelled as she hugged Pippet tighter and the spun around at the news of an expanding family.
"That isn't very smart." Mike warned breaking apart the overjoyed women.
"Mikey we're pregnant I'm having a baby she's having a baby we're all gonna be this big happy family AHHHH!!!!!!" Pippet squealed as Katty started her way around the room hugging and kissing everybody.
"Who's your momma!" She laughed as she kissed Mike and he held her close.
"You." At this she squealed and started doing her own little copyright happy dance.
"Oh yeah I'm a mo-om oh yeah uh-huh I'm a mommy oh ye-ah woo-hoo woo-hoo." Everyone was so busy laughing and watching Natalie as she hopped around the room with Jared dancing with him they never saw Tre guide Pippet out to the dimly lit backyard.
"Congrats on the baby." Tre said kissing her on the forehead.
"Thanks Tre bear." They stayed silent a few minutes lost in their own thought, Pippet's mostly revolving around how joyous or catastrophic this pregnancy would turn out to be. Never noticing that her own eyes deceived her and let the tears fall from her happy exterior.
"Pip baby what's wrong?" She blinked herself out of reality cursing herself for crying in front of Tre..
"Nothing." Tre rolled his eyes and looked down at her taking a grip on both her arms.
"If it's nothing then leave the blue up in the sky and out of your beautiful soul. I've told you a million times this baby will come out fine trust me it's all going to work out it always does and always will I promise you that." Pippet looked at him and couldn't help a smile.
"Tre don't make promises you can't keep it's not smart."
"Who said it was one I couldn't keep I'll make sure it works out because I hate to see you cry." His face was serious and his eyes were filled with love, he leaned down cautiously at first afraid of Pippet's reaction. But seeing her stand on tiptoe to reach him was enough of an OK for him. He let their lips touch lightly at first breathing in her aroma, taking in all the beauty of this most very wrong and deceitful moment before deepening the kiss making it fuelled with passion and romance, both were lost in the divinely kiss until they heard a cough and broke apart, they looked towards the door and with an unsatisfied look on his face standing there with a cigarette in between his fingers was Mike.

"So Mike... How long you been there?" Tre asked wiping off some of Pippet's lip gloss that still remained...
