Why me?, chapter 1
"WAKE UP! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE! YOU CAN SLEEP LATER!" my mom was screaming.
God I'd wish she would stop that. I got out of bed and went to eat breakfast. It was a... Well... 'special' day in my household. Before we go on my name is Mary-Alice Phillips and today was going to be unforgettable.
"HURRY UP! WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE AT TEN AND IT'S ALREADY NINE!" my mom screamed again.
"Okay, okay just stop shouting, please." I went to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and went to go dress myself. I felt like it was going to be a weird day so I put on my blue jeans and white long-sleeved shirt/orange vest. As always I put on my bracelets and my lucky necklace. After I did that, I sat there on my bed and took out my Green Day article out of my pillowcase. I was admiring Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool as they posed and stood there frozen and immortalized.
"STOP WASTING TIME! GET IN THE CAR NOW!" My mom screamed for the final time
I put on my magenta sneakers and shoved the Green Day article in my black and white purse and grabbed my backpack. I ran through the house as my bracelets jingled on my arm. I got out the door and locked it. My bottle cap collection on my key chain cut me as I put them away. I had a minor cut though. I went to my moms white minivan and got in. My parents were all ready to go. My suitcases were all in the trunk ready for departure. My dad started the van pulled out of the driveway and went down the street. I stared out the window and thought I sure am going to miss this place.
*Flashback- Two months ago*
"Mom! I'm home!"
"Come here I have something to tell you."
"What?"
"I signed you up for the show 'Trading Children'."
"YOU WHAT?"
"It will give you an experience and make you appreciate what you have here."
"So you're saying you signed me up for something I DID NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN!"
"Yes I did. Lower your voice Mary."
"This is just like the time you signed me up for that 'Singers of the Future'!"
"It's for your own good."
"Why can't I have a saying in anything! Its my life you know!"
*End of flash back*
