Why me?, chapter 6
I felt my eyes sagging. Ten minutes into the drive and I was falling asleep. I leaned against the window as I looked up at the clouds. The sun felt warm and kind on my cheeks. I looked at Tre who was fast asleep, and then at Mike who was looking out his window.
Leaning against my seat I felt something poking me. It was my headphones in my backpack. I decided to listen to some soothing music, so I took out my cd player, put in the Best of Tchiackovski, and started to zone out. Then I felt a bump in the road after what seemed to be 10 minutes.
I looked out the window and a huge two story house came into view. Billie Joe drove past the gate and seconds later came to a halt. Mike came and opened the door for me. He asked if I needed help with my luggage. I responded with a nod. We went towards the trunk and got my luggage out.
We then went through the opened door of my home(for a two months anyway) and saw that Billie Joe was lounging on the sofa while Tre was on the recliner watching TV.
"Umm... So where do I put my stuff?" I asked Billie Joe.
"In your room." He answered. "Here I'll show you." He got up and lead me to my room upstairs. When I got up there, I put down my stuff and sat on my new bed. Mike got up there with the rest of my stuff. I thanked Mike for the help and explored my new room.
It had the basics in it. A TV, a DVD player, boom box, nightstand, bed, closet, drawers, desk, you know the works. The room was painted a light shade of blue, which is my favorite color. I looked out the window. It had such a wonderous view of the backyard.
A swing set adorned the lawn and was accompanied by a swiming pool which was shimmering under the sunlight. There was aslo a garden filled with brightly colored flowers and ripe, delicious-looking vegetables. The backyard looked so beautiful.
"The garden's Adie's hobby." Billie Joe stated." She likes to garden in her spare time."
"Really?" I said." Sounds like fun."
"Sometimes I help out too." Billie Joe informed me.
"I should try it sometime." I said.
"So do you want pizza?" He asked me.
"Oh yes please." I answered." I'm starved."
"Kay I'll go order it." Billie Joe went downstairs and asked Mike and Tre what they wanted pizza. I went downstairs and saw that Mike and Tre were playing Joeseph's XBox(or is it Billie Joe's? Maybe Jakob's). Judging by the zooming sounds, I guessed it to be a racing game.
I sat down on the couch beside them and watched the play for twenty minutes straight. Then Billie Joe called out.
"Pizza's here!" He announced while carrying two large pizzas. He set them down on the coffee table infront of us." I'll go get plates."
"Let me help you." I offered. And followed him towards the kitchen.
He opened the cabinets and took out four plates. Then he asked Mike and Tre what they wanted to drink. Tre wanted a Coke while Mike wanted coffee.
