The One I Want, chapter 18
"What the hell toke you so long, dude what on your forehead?" asked Tre as Billie walked in the shop.
"I got your favorite smoothie," said Mike while Billie sat down at the booth.
"Who that?" said Billie as he took a sip from his smoothie.
"Oh this is Michelle, we started going out for a few weeks," said Mike putting his Arm and Michelle. Michelle gave Billie Joe a quick smile.
"And you didn't tell me?" said Billie Joe angrily.
"Well we...just wanted to see if we were serious," said Mike barking back at Billie.
"Yeah..." said Billie Joe looking away.
"Some one is on their period!" said Tre putting his arm around Billie and hugging him.
"What the hell Tre?" snapped back Billie pushing Tre away.
"What the hell Billie?" said Mike.
"Ow my head hurts I got to go I'll see you guys later," said Billie. Then he got up and left the store.
"Well that's the last time I pay for his smoothie," said Tre.
"Is he always like that?" said Michelle quietly. Mike and Tre both shook their heads.
Billie walked over to the railroad where he and Mike and Tre go to get stoned or drink. Cops where never around there. Billie Joe sat under a tree that was by the railroad track. He sat there under the shade. And he cried. Not about Sara. But about his mom. How she was going to marry an asshole. And for the first time in 7 years, he cried about his dad. How he missed him. Billie Joe hid his face in his hands while he cried. "I knew I could find you here," said Sara as she walked over to Billie. Billie looked up, brushed of his tears then stood up. Sara walked over to Billie.
"Have you been crying?" asked Sara putting her hand on Billie Joe's shoulder. Billie Joe backed away.
"No... Why?" he said.
"Billie Joe, what were you crying about?" said Sara kindly. Billie Joe sighed and picked up a rock.
"My dad. How he left me," said Billie Joe throwing the rock as far as he could. Billie sat on the ground again. Then he sighed. "I was so young, HE was too young..." said Billie Joe looking past the broken homes.
"Yeah, I'm sorry," said Sara putting her arm around Billie. Billie Joe nudges her arm of his shoulder. "Holy shit Billie what happened?" asked Sara. Billie looked blankly at her. "Your forhead. It's got a bad cut on it," said Sara studying his cut.
"Oh...it's nothing really I fell," said Billie trying to drop the conversation.
"Oh..." said Sara confused. The two of them sat in silence for a while.
"You still angry?"
"Hmmm?"
"Well?"
"Well what?"
"Are you still mad at me?"
"Can I be?"
"Yes...?"
"Yes."
"I better get going me and the boys need to get ready tonight," said Billie Joe getting up.
"Yeah...big night...you're going to play tonight," said Sara getting up then brushing the dirt off her ass.
"Yuppers," said Billie Joe getting his car keys.
"Mind...if I go...tonight...you know the show?" Getting her car keys.
"I don't see why," said Billie Joe walking towards his car, not looking back at Sara. Billie Joe jumped in his car, stared his car, then left.
"Oh...k see you...tonight," said Sara as she watch Billie Joe driving off.
"I got your favorite smoothie," said Mike while Billie sat down at the booth.

"I don't see why," said Billie Joe walking towards his car, not looking back at Sara. Billie Joe jumped in his car, stared his car, then left.
"Oh...k see you...tonight," said Sara as she watch Billie Joe driving off.
