The One I Want, chapter 20
Billie Joe looked out to the crowd. The people where talking and waiting for them to play. Billie Joe looked back at Mike. Mike was standing nervously. Billie Joe looked at Tre. Tre was excited to play and ready to play. "The sooner we start the sooner we can get this over." said Mike to Billie. Billie could tell Mike was nervous yet excited. Billie nodded and walked over the microphone.
"Hey we're Sweet Children," yelled Billie into the Microphone. The crowd went wild. Billie Joe took a deep breath. "This song is called The One I want," said Billie Joe. The crowd went crazy. "Well here we go," said Billie under his breath.
Billie Joe played the last cord and smiled. The crowd went crazy. Billie Joe looked back at Mike. Mike was just as happy as happy as Billie was. Billie looked back at Tre. Tre was standing up in his drum stool blowing kisses to the crowd. Billie Joe looked out in the crowd. It felt really good that the crowd really liked his music.
"You like that? You want some more?" said Billie into the microphone. The crowd cheered. "Ok! This song is called 409 in your coffee maker," said Billie Joe.
The crowd was going wild. "We are Sweet Children and that was our first big gig! Now we're done!" said Billie Joe into the microphone. "Thank you and good night!" said Mike into his microphone. The crowd went crazy. Mike, Tre and Billie walked of the stage and put their interments back stage. Billie walked out of the room and into the crowd.
"Oh my god!! You guys where fucking awesome!!" yelled Sara and she jumped into Billie Joe's arms to give him a hug.
"Thanks it felt great!" said Billie Joe hugging back Sara. Behind Sara was Scott holding her purse and smiling. Billie Joe's smiled fade. Sara went next to hug Mike and Tre.
"Good show, you guys really rocked!" said Scott putting out his hand for a handshake.
"Thanks," said Billie Joe not shaking his hand.
"Hey guys I got some beer in my truck, let's go the railroad and have a few drinks to celebrate!" said Mike, holding hands with his girlfriend Michelle. Everyone agreed and got in their car to head to the railroad.
"You guys where really awesome!" said Sara, opening a beer.
"It felt so good to play. Man, I really put all my energy in to playing," said Tre.
"Same here," said Billie Joe and Mike at the same time. They both laughed.
"I would like to invite to new people in the Sweet Children group! The lovely Michelle," said Mike looking into Michelle's eyes.
"And Scott! Welcome you! Cheers!" said Mike standing in the hood of Tre's truck.
"Cheers," replied every one toasting their beers the having a sip.
"Damn we better getting it's 2 in the morning, plus I think Michelle wants to go home," said Mike taking his car keys out of his pocket.
"Same here, if I don't get home soon my dad will get mad," said Tre, getting up off the ground.
"You ok to drive, Tre?" asked Mike opening his car door.
"Yeah I only had a few," said Tre, "Later guys." Tre got in his car and drove off. You are fine Billie?" asked Mike.
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm still on my first one!" said Billie Joe, still sitting.
"Ok man, later," said Mike, and then his jumped in his car and drove home. Scott went home an hour before anyone. So it was just Billie and Sara.
"So...it's just us..."
"Yup...guess so."
"You guys where really good."

Sara slowly put her arm around Billie Joe. And then softly touched Billie Joe's cut on his forehead.
"You seriously think I believe that you fell?"
"Wha?"
"Billie Joe! I know you did not get that cut from falling. How did you get that cut?"
"Look, I got to go. It's getting late."
"Billie!"
Billie Joe got up and got his car keys out. "Billie Joe! You can tell me! We have been telling are secrets to each other since kindergarten!" said Sara.
"Stop getting in my business!" said Billie Joe.
"Billie Joe Your over reacting! Just tell me!" said Sara, running in front of Billie Joe.
"I fell on the desk in my room!" said Billie Joe.
"Billie Joe Look me in the eye and tell me the answer!" demanded Sara.
"Ralph...he pushed me and I fell on the kitchen!"
"OH MY GOD, WHAT?!"
"That's why I did not want to tell you!"
"Oh my god, we have to stop this!"
"No! We not are going to do anything!"
"Billie Joe he is hurting you!"
"No, cause if he finds out I told on him then he is going to after me!"
Sara stood there speechless. "Please. Sara doesn't tell any one! Please!" begged. Sara nodded.
"Thank you so much!" said Billie, and then hugged Sara.
"You want a ride?" asked Billie Joe.
"Yeah..." said Sara softly and rubbing the back of her neck. Billie and Sara drove to Sara's house with out saying a word.
"Night Billie," said Sara as they got her house.
"Good night," replied Billie. Sara smiled and then got out of Billie's car and went inside.
Billie walked in side the house took of his shoes and hung his keys on the key rack. Then started walking up stairs.
"Where the hell do you think your going?" said Ralph, sitting on the couch. Billie Joe just stood there.
"You had a fit at dinner. Threw a glass at my son. Then left. And did not come home till 3 a.m. Do you think your welcomed back in this house?" said Ralph, getting off the couch and walking to the stairs. Billie Joes said nothing.
"Noting huh?" said Ralph. Just then Ralph gave a big slap across Billie Joe's face. Billie raced up stairs, but Ralph caught him by the shirt the yanked him down the stairs.
"DONT YOU EVER RAN AWAY FROM ME!!" yelled Ralph as he slapped Billie Joe again.
"MOM!! MOM!!!" screamed Billie Joe.
"She is working the night shift," said Ralph, kicking Billie Joe.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!" yelled Billie Joe, trying to run up the stairs.
"What the hell did I tell you son? Don't run away from me when I talking to you!" said Ralph, slapping Billie Joe upside the head.
"DADDY STOP!!!" screamed Kira. She came running down the stairs. Ron was right behind her.
"Go back to bed Kira," said Ralph. Right then he stopped kicking Billie. Kira and Ron just stood there shocked at their dad. Billie Joe slowly got up. He looked at Ron who was up stairs looking down. Then he looked at Kira and her dad.
"This engagement won't last when mom finds out," said Billie with a smile as he wiped some blood off his lip.
"YOU WON'T TELL YOU MOM. OR YOU WILL GET MORE!" yelled Ralph as he picked up Billie Joe by the shirt. Then dropped him.
"Good night. Son," said Ralph as he went up stairs. "My kids get back to bed. And if you tell Ollie about this, I'll send you to your mother." Kira and Ron both stood up.
Billie stood up. Then walked up stairs. "Billie sorry about dinner," said Ron.
"I don't care," said Billie Joe walking away.
"Billie Joe stop being a bitch to my brother he said sorry!" yelled Kira and she walked up stairs.
"Your Dad is beating me up! See this cut on my head! That's from your dad!" yelled Billie Joe pointing to the cut. "See this fat bloody lip it's from you dad!" yelled Billie Joe. Rona and Kira said nothing. "Yeah...try saying sorry now," said Billie Joe. Then he walked in his room and locked his door...
