The One I Want, chapter 28
"Michael Ryan Pritchard" announced the principal.
"WHOH!!! DIRNT DIRNT DIRNT!" The crowd Cheered.
Mike smiled and waved to the crowd as he walked down to receive he diploma.
"Mike we're so proud of you!" said Billie Joe.
Everybody was outside talking. Sharing hugs, kisses and tears. Mike was around Billie Joe, Tre, Ollie, Maya and Mike's Mother.
"Good job mike I knew you could do it!" Said Ollie
"I told that wasn't that hard, was it?" Said Maya
"The mighty Dirnt has completed the biggest task!" said Tre
"I can't believe my son has grown up so fast" Said Mike's mother.
Mike was getting over whelmed by all these people. But he kept on smiling and talking. He kind of liked it, all the attention was on him for once. And he liked it...a lot!
"Hey...um congrats!" said Mike
"Oh ha-ha you to!" said Sara
There was an aquwarded silence between them.
"So you're going to the University of Seattle, huh?" said Mike.
"Yeah...yup...Washington" said Sara smiling.
"Why the hell Washington?" said Mike cocking his eyebrows.
"I need to get away from California...I just don't belong here any more, Nothing here is left for me. I'm sick of the hot weather. I want to go some where cold. Where it snows and Rains. I need some change. You know what I mean?" said Sara.
"Yeah...change...you ever coming back? You know for like Holidays...or just miss your family." said Mike.
"Probably not Mike...sorry." said Sara doubtfully.
Another aquward silence.
"I hear your leaving tommorw" said Sara
"Yeah...Our first show is in Anthem. Close to Disneyland...we might go to Disneyland...Then our next show is in Reno." said Mike
"Hmmm sounds fun." said Sara
"Yeah...hey, I better get going I still need to pack and I want to spend the day with my mom and sister...I'll write to you...or call" said Mike
"Please don't Mike." said Sara
"What...why not?" said Mike confused
"I'm trying to forget everything about this place" said Sara
"Not talking to your best friend not going to make you forget us...or this place, you grew up here...you might all well forget your whole life." said Mike getting angry
"Bye Mike" said Sara walking away
"Sara! Don't be like this! Billie Joe is right! Your all drama!" said Mike walking after her
"Sara...wait!" said Mike stopping in front of her.
"What?!" said Sara
"Good Luck" said Mike hugging her
Sara hugged back.
Mike started to walk off.
"Mike!"
"Yes?"
"You can write if you want!"
