Rage And Love, chapter 2
"Oww man, my head." Kate moaned, sitting up and squeezing her head trying to get all the pain and aches out.
"Hey, your awake then sleepy!" said a cheerful Billie Joe.
"What time is it?" Kate asked, standing up.
"Um... 11:45."
"Oh great, I told Erin I'd be back by 10. Damn."
"Don't worry, she went home with Tre last night. She'll be too tired to even walk home after a night with him." Billie Joe laughed, pulling on a t-shirt.
"Eww, haha poor girl." Kate replied, walking into the bathroom.
"HEY KATE?!" Billie Joe yelled from the bedroom.
"YEAH!?"
"Wanna go to the mall with the guys later!?!"
"Yeah okay, can you call them while I take a shower? She asked through the sound of the falling water.
"Will do!"
*At the mall*
"Dudes, I need to take a piss. I'll be back in 5, wait here," Tre said, running off into a nearby store in search of a toilet.
"Mmmokay," every mumbled back.
"Hey guys, didn't Tre just go to the toilet like, 10 minutes ago?" Mike asked.
"Yeah, your right he did.. Maybe he's just got like, bladder problems or something..?" Erin suggested.
"DUH DUH DAAAHHH!!! DUNNA DUNNA DUNNA DUNNA DUH DUUUUHHH!!" Tre came running through the crowds of people towards his friends.
"No. Fucking. Way." Mike cringed.
Everyone's mouths dropped as they saw what Tre was wearing. He came skidding along in a bright orange t-shirt, yellow trousers, a pink PVC thong on top and a lime green hat sloped over the side of his head.
"Man, your insane!" Billie Joe screeched, pinging Tre's thong.
"Baby, you are the only thing that keeps me SANE." Tre replied, straddling Billie Joe.
Everyone laughed as Billie pushed Tre off of him. "Your seriously disturbed Tre."
"Oh people! Look!" Kate said, running over with a red piece of paper.
"It's about the Gilman. Operation ivy is playing again tonight guys. Let's go. Your dad wont mind if we miss helping him for one night will he Tre?" Kate asked pleadingly.
"Nah, we can't not go to the Gilman for my dad. He'll let us off for tonight. If he doesn't we can still go. We deserve it." He said, reading over the paper.
"Okay. But guys, we have to make it up to him soon. We haven't helped him in over 3 weeks. And it is our fault that we have to help in the first place." Mike said.
"Yeah, but, it WAS Tre's idea" Billie protested.
"Never mind. Its been done now, there's no changing. Lets go grab some food. If we wanna go tonight then we gotta get cracking. Only 2 hours to go." Erin smiled, walking towards the exit.

The words of Operations Ivy's "Knowledge" was coming from inside the club. "They've started already, let's go in." Billie said impatiently.
"Geeze, calm down man. This is like, the hundredth time you've been here and you're still exited?" Erin laughed as all five punks entered the Gilman.
"Oh, thank fuck you guys came!" Laurence Livermore yelled over the music.
"Oh hey there man!" Mike replied.
"One of the bands hasn't turned up. Could you guys play instead?" LL asked pleadingly?"
"Sure we will!" an excited Billie shouted.
"Great, you can go out back and set up. Ask around other bands for PA's and other stuff you need? Okay?" He questioned.
"Yeah, thanks man!" Tre said. Laurence walked off while Operation Ivy went offstage.
"So, I guess we'll see you after we've played?" Tre said to Kate and Erin.
"Yep, okay, we'll meet you outback after." Kate assured. Everyone said their goodbyes as Green Day went off to set up.
"Mike, Tre, I'll be back in about 10 minutes. I have to go home and get Blue." Billie said, stopping in his tracks.
"No man, we haven't got that long. Can't you go without Blue for one gig?" Mike pleaded.
"No, Mike. You know I won't play without Blue. C'mon, lemme just run back and get it?"
"Shit, Billie. Just go, and hurry man," Tre said as Billie Joe exited the 924.
