Rage And Love, chapter 3
"Damn guys. I'm seriously FUCKED!" yelled Billie Joe a little drunk walking out of Tre's house.
"Haha. Well it's just too bad that you're going to get a huge ass hangover tomorrow morning" grinned Tre.
"He's right Billie. Maybe we should head back and leave these two love birds alone." Mike said waving his hand towards Tre and Erin.
"Yeah, maybe you should," added Tre pulling Erin in and closing the door on the others.
"Heh, well that was nice of Tre, weren't it?" Kate shrugged. "Oh well, we don't care. Are you staying at mine tonight? Seeing as your mum's boyfriend will probably kick your sorry ass. Or did you call your mum earlier?" asked Billie Joe asked.
"Fuck, no I didn't. Yeah, I'll stay with you if that's alright?"
"Sure it's alright." He stated. "It's alright isn't it Mike?" "Hmmhuh" mike nodded while attempting to light a joint he lazily rolled earlier on that evening. Kate grinned. "Thanks guys. You saved my bacon."
"HA! What did you just say? We 'saved your bacon'? What the hell? Oh man. You're weird!" Billie Joe laughed strolling off towards his house pulling Kate with him as Mike trailed behind giggling to himself.
Once they reached Billie Joe's house they sat down on Billie's bed as The Ramones quietly played on the old CD player in the corner.
"Hey guys. Had a good night?" Ollie asked poking her head around the door.
"Hey mom, yeah we did thanks. You?" Billie asked quickly shoving the joint he had in his hand behind his back.
"Oh yeah. I had a great night! I mean. Who doesn't like old drunk men chatting you up while you work?" she joked. Everyone grinned as Ollie gave them one last smile and shut the door behind her.
The door opened again and Ollie's head popped round. "Oh and Billie?" she said making him jump. "Yeah mom?"
"I know what you're doing. You don't have to hide what you're smoking." She smiled, closing the door again without waiting for an answer from her son.
"Wow. Billie, do you even realize how cool your mom is compared to mine?" Kate questioned. Billie smiled, "She's not that cool all the ti- " Oh sorry. It's my mom. I got to take this call." Interrupted Kate as her cell started to ring. She looked at Billie for an approval look before answering her phone. "Hey mom, what the hell? Why? No. I'm not. I'm uhh. I'm at Erin's house. Oh fucks sake mom. OKAY. I'm leaving right now."
"Jesus fucking Christ" Kate said picking up her coat and pulling on her converse. "What? You got to go?" Billie asked offering his hand to his girlfriend. She took it and pulled herself up. "Yeah. I have to go. I'll uhh. I'll call you in the morning or something okay?" she asked. "Bye Mike. See you tomorrow okay?" she asked smiling at how sleepy and funny Mike looked. He grinned and nodded at her. "I'll walk you out," Billie said opening the door.
They walked downstairs and stood on the doorstep of Billie Joe's house. "So, I guess. I'll talk to you tomorrow then yeah?" He asked looking at her. She looked back into his green eyes and smiled. "Yeah. Tomorrow." Kate nodded.
There was an awkward silence. "YouknowIhatetheseawkwardsilences" they both rambled together. Billie Joe grinned.
"Heh. You better go. So have I. I got to go sort out ol' fuck up in there." He smiled nodding towards his house and referring to Mike. "Yeah. Okay. Bye" Billie Joe kissed her lips and walked inside.
On her 5-minute walk home. Kate pulled put her cell and called Erin.
"Hey Kate! What's up!" answered a drunk Erin. Oh man thought Kate grinning.
"Hey Erin. Uh, can you do me a favor?" she asked.
"Sure I can. I'll do anything for you" giggled Erin.
"If my mom calls you. Can you tell her that I was with you all night?"
"Okay, why? Are you in the shit?" she asked suddenly stopping the giggling.
"What's happened?" Kate heard Tre ask in the background.
"Nah, I don't think so. My mum called and she told me to get home as soon as I can. She needs to tell me something. And I told her I was with you. That's all."
"Oh okay. Well, you've been with me all night" Erin assured.
"Thanks buddy. I'll talk to you tomorrow? Okay?" Kate said. Looking up as she finally reached her house.
"Okay. Bye Riddance!"
"Wow, you haven't called me Riddance since I was 13. Hah. Bye 33!" Kate said as they both hung up. Memories of old times flowing through their heads. The memories of the long e-mails that they continuously sent to each other.
Kate walked into her house to see her mom; her mom's boyfriend and her brother Jack all sitting down together. Okay something is really wrong. She thought. The whole house isn't ever together like this.
"What's happened?" Kate asked sitting down next to her elder brother. Her mom looked up at her and replied.
"Okay, Kate, I don't think you'll like this. But. We're. We're moving."
"Haha. Well it's just too bad that you're going to get a huge ass hangover tomorrow morning" grinned Tre.
