We Feel The Same Pain, chapter 2
The sun drove through the window like a courier on a mission, waking both Billie and Adrienne in a fairly close margin.
"Ugh, my head." Billie rolled over, burying his face tightly into the soft pillow.
"Good morning, sunshine." Adrienne mumbled as she rolled over to face him. "I'll make you breakfast. The usual, I assume?" She chuckled, anticipating his reply. Billie lifted his head, smiling, "You got it. Two eggs, two pieces of toast, apple juice and a couple aspirin."
She smiled back, wiggling out of bed. "Good morning, boys!" She yelled down the hall as she started down the stairs, hopefully waking up Joey and Jake.
She sauntered into the kitchen and opened all the drapes, letting the warm, California sun shine in. She opened the fridge, reaching back for the eggs, milk, and bread. She started to stand up to set them on the counter when she felt strong arms around her waist, pulling her closer as soft kisses were planted on her neck.
"Billie," She scolded playfully as she turned around, returning the kisses to his lips.
"Let me get that." Billie grabbed the milk and eggs from her hand, leaving Adrienne with the bread to toast. She stepped around him as he bent over to look for a pan in the cabinet. He stood up quickly, but stumbled back, bumping into her.
"Whoa,"
"You okay?" Adie grabbed his arm, giving him balance.
"Yeah... I think. Just got really dizzy there... "
"Sit down."
"No. I'm... "
"Sit. Now." She pulled him into a chair, smoothing his hair and bending down next to him. "Exactly how much did you guys drink last night?" Concern plagued her dark eyes.
"Not that much. I only had a few drinks. Besides, it doesn't even feel the same... "
"Do we need to go to the hosp... "
"NO! No, I'm fine. It's probably sinuses."
Joey ran in and plopped in the seat next to his father. Jakob ran in soon after, jumping into his father's lap.
"Jaa... " Adie cut herself off, noticing Billie signal to her that it was okay. He was okay. At least for now...
