We Feel The Same Pain, chapter 4

"Hello?"
"Hey Mike. It's Adie."
"Hey! What's shakin' tofu bacon?"
She giggled, making him laugh as well. "Eh, not a whole lot, but I'm a little worried about Billie Joe. Maybe you can help?"
"Oh, um... yeah, sure. What's wrong?" He sounded suddenly concerned.
Adrienne took a deep breath. "He's had a headache all day. It's chronic... not like a hangover. Dizzy and everything."
A pause.
"Huh. Panic attacks?"
"None."
He was quiet again. She could almost hear his wheels turn.
"Sinuses?"
"Maybe... "
Mike's pessimism took control as he muttered inaudibly. "Hopefully... "
"Sorry, what?"
"Oh nothing. I'll be right over."
"Mike you don't have... " She couldn't catch him before he hung up. She dialed the phone again.

"Hello?"
"Hey, hey Sara. It's Adrienne."
"Hey babe! What's up?"
"Can you watch Joey and Jakob for a while?"
Adie's friend thought a minute. "Sure. Everything okay?"
She hesitated. "Yeah! Uh fine. Just need some time... "
"I see... alright send 'em over."
"Thanks,"
"No problem. Bye."
"Bye."
Adrienne hung up and yelled for the boys.
"You guys are going to Sara's for a while, okay?"
"Okay." Smiled Joey, happy at the prospect of playing outside with Sara's son. He didn't have a care in the world. Adrienne phased out for a moment, envying his innocence.
"Bye mommy!" Jake yelled as he ran after Joey out the door.
"Call when you get there!"

"Call when they get where?" Billie startled her.
"Oh! Hey. Sara's."
"Oh, I see... " He kissed her neck, biting slightly and rubbing her hips with his wandering hands. "Wanna go upstairs?"
"Um, Tre's here. I take it you feel better?"
"Oh shit, I forgot. Yeah I feel much better. A shower did me good I guess." He spun around and kissed her roughly. "Later."
"Mayyyybeee... hehehe stop!" He held her from behind, kissing the back of her neck.

"What's going on in there? And why wasn't I invited?" Tre yelled from the living room.
"Nothing. And because you're ugly!"
Tre rushed in, smiling and flexing his muscles. "You wanna go?"
Billie pounded chests with his friend. "You're on." He pulled him into a headlock, causing him to scream... rather femininely
"Let me go!" he yelled, laughing.
"Oh, fine." He let him go, laughing while Tre smacked him in the back of the head.
"Children," Adie sighed from her seat at the counter. "I should start on dinner. Four right?"
Tre looked around, puzzled. "Four?"

"Hey guys." The front door opened and closed.
"Party's over." Tre started out of the kitchen. Mike smiled and flipped him off.
"Hey Mikey, I didn't know you were coming over," Billie walked over, bumping fists with his best friend.
"Yeah, Adie invited me."
"Ooooooh... " Tre was back.
"And you're here because... "
"My family ditched me. The biological one."
"I see," Mike punched Tre playfully in the arm.
"Owwww!" he whined. "Adrienne, he hit me."
"Good. Someone has to... " she smiled, tossing a salad.
"Bitch... "
Billie punched Tre in the arm, too. It wasn't quite as playful.
"Boys," she sighed again, "go play somewhere else."

Mike and Tre walked out talking. Billie, however, stayed to keep Adrienne company.
"Anything I can do?"
"Nah, it's okay."
Billie walked up behind her, putting his arms around her waist, resting some of his weight on her back. He blew on her neck, making some of the smaller hairs whip around.
"You're quite playful today, young man!" she laughed, pretending to scold him.
"Gotta enjoy life while it lasts."
