Mike did it!, chapter 1

"MIKE! DON'T DO THAT!" bellowed Emily, Mike's little sister. But he kept on throwing emense rocks at his mother's car. Throwing bigger and bigger rocks at the windows, Emily was getting frightened. "MIKE! PLEASE DON'T!" she shouted. But it was to late. The window shield gave way and shattered onto the driveway. Mike, looking rather pleased with his achievments, thought nothing of it, and strode proudly into the front pourch and he dissappered behind the screen door. Emily, only six at the time, stood there, dumbfounded. She didn't want her mother to see this mess and yell and spank Mike. She loved him. So, she got down on her knees, and started picking up the glass with her bare hands. Mike was watching through the front window. She wanted to stop cleaning the glass because it was cutting her and making her bleed. But she was thinking of what her mother would say to her. She started crying with pain and Mike was still just sitting there, watching her, face emotion-less. She heard a engine far off in the distance. She knew who it was. Her mother parked in the driveway, and came walking up to Emily. "Young lady, I-" "IT WASN'T ME!" Emily said forgetting about not tattle-tailing on Mike. "IT WAS MIKE!" Her mother sighed and bent down next to her. "Honey," she said sweetly. "Mike is three years older than you and no offense hun, he is more responsable than you too." Emily was furious with her mom. She never believed anything she said. "I..I-" said Emily. She decided not to argue because ahe already knew the outcome. It would get her no where. "OH MY LORD!" her mother said, finally noticeing her daughters bloody hands. She picked her up, and ran inside the house. Emily looked over her mother's shoulders to find Mike sitting on the stairs. She never wanted to talk to him ever again...well at least for the rest of the evening.

*dinner time*

Everyone was quiet at dinner. The mother was sitting there, reading the news paper while Mike was flinging mashed potatoes on the ground for his dog to lick it off. Emily was sitting there, to sore to pick up her own fork. "Hey Mom, guess what happened today at school?" His mother said nothing. "A little girl was pushed off the see-saw and her head started to bleed." He continued on with a smile on his face. "I wonder who pushed her off..." mumbled Emily. "Emily! Stop accusing your brother!" her mother said. Emily gave a scowl, and jumped off her chair and stormed into her room. Mike chuckled to himself and his mother, yet again, said nothing while she was reading the funnies.
