The Innocent Can Never Last., chapter 1

Chapter 1.

As Mathew stood in the crowd, he felt like he was in Heaven. After all, he was standing in the front row, seeing his favorite band, Green Day, perform. As they sang, "Are we the waiting", Mathew sang along. His best friend, Gavin laughed.
"Freaking retard!"
Mathew laughed, "What?"
"Nothing. You know, we shouldn't even be here!"
"Why not?"
"Um, we're freaking eleven!"
"Well, that sixteen year old dude got us in, he'll take us home after the concert."
Gavin laughed, "Um, do you see him? No, he left with some drunk chick!"
"Oh shit! My mom is going to be pissed!"
Gavin laughed, "I wouldn't worry about that if I were you! She's probably plastered by now anyways."
An angry look played upon Mathew's face, "DO NOT TALK ABOUT MY MOM THAT WAY!"
Gavin laughed, "Sorry buddy, but it's the truth. Maybe if she hadn't gotten pregnant at fifteen, she wouldn't be so messed up now-a-days!"
Mathew couldn't control himself, he pushed Gavin down with all his might. Gavin stumbled to his feet, then punched Mathew. The two were now fighting madly, the people around them were trying to pull them apart. The crowd was now screaming, the song "Letterbomb" had to be cut short. Security guards ran off the stage and into the fight. Gavin, who was now on top of Mathew, throwing punches, was picked up by both arms. Mathew ran towards the parking lot. He was running so fast he could not feel his feet touch ground. He ran into the dark parking lot, he could feel blood pouring from his forehead, he began to feel lightheaded. He leaned against a black BMW, he slid down to the ground, and before he knew it, he was asleep.

Chapter 2.

"Hey kid! Get the fuck off of my car!"
Mathew opened his eyes, the shocked voice had woken him.
"Kid! I said get the fuck off of my car!"
Mathew's eyes were opening, and a figure was coming into focus. There was a man standing in front of him, looking shocked and confused.
"Hey kid! I said... What the fuck happened to your face?"
Mathew batted his eyelids, then much to his shock, his idol was standing before him.
Mathew jumped to his feet, "Oh my God! You're... You're... "
"... The man who's car your passed out on!"
"You're... Billie Joe Armstrong!"
"Yes, the one and only, now get the fuck off of my car!"
"God! I always thought you'd be nicer!"
"Well, You thought wrong. Hey, are you even old enough to be here?"
Mathew did not know what to say, "Well... um... Not really. See, this guy brought me here, and he was suppose to take me back home, but he left."
"Well kid, that sounds like a personal problem, look, I have to go, I'm suppose to go by my mom's house since I'm in Oakland."
"Where does she live?"
"That is none of your fucking business... . Why?"
"I was thinking maybe you could give me a ride home, so my mom won't get pissed."
Billie shrugged, "Why don't you get a ride from someone else?"
"Do you see anyone else? Look, I know I'm a little kid, but please!"
"Fine! You're wasting my time arguing, get your ass in the car."
Mathew hurriedly got in the car. He had never even seen, let alone ridden in a car this new or nice.
They drove down the dark road, as Mathew told him where he lived.
The road to his house seemed like forever to Mathew, but finally, they pulled into the driveway.
There was Mathew's house, small, worn-down and ugly. He was embarrassed to have Billie Joe see his house.
Mathew got out of the car, as his mother ran out of the house, "Mathew! Mathew!"
Mathew's mother threw her arms around him, when her eyes darted towards.
"Oh my fucking God," She looked more shocked than Mathew when she first laid eyes on.
"You're... "
Billie got out of the car, and held out his hand, "I'm Billie. Nice to meet you."
"I'm... My name is Helena... "
"Wow, hot name."
Helena blushed , "Thanks... just so you know, I'm a huge fan... "
Billie smiled, "I figured... "
"Mathew, why... where were you?"
"Mom, please don't be mad, I was at a concert, and... "
"I can tell. Anyway, Mr. Armstrong, you want to go in for a beer?"
Mathew snapped, "Mom!"
Billie smiled, "Sure, I never turn down a free beer!"

Chapter 3.

The three of them walked inside the house.
Mathew pointed towards the bathroom, "I'm going to go clean up."
Helena had not even noticed Mathew's scraps or dried blood.
Billie set down on the old, blue couch, while Helena walked toward the kitchen. She got two beers out of the fridge, and walked back in the living room. She handed Billie a beer, and took a seat in a nearby armchair.
She still looked shocked, "I'm a huge fan... "
"Yeah, you already said that."
"I'm so sorry, I'm just... Wait, if you don't mind me asking, where's your wedding ring?"
"Oh, well, my wife and I, kind of aren't getting along... "
"Oh. I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. If you don't mind me asking, you look way too young to be a mother."
"That's not a question. Anyway, I'm twenty-seven, I'm a young mother."
Helena brushed her long black hair out of her eyes. Her blue eyes met his gorgeous hazel eyes.
They both smiled, then Billie said "I'm sorry, I have to go, can I maybe have your number?"
Helena's heart sank, "Uh, yeah."
She grabbed a piece of paper and began scribbling down her number. Her hands were shaking, and numbers were messy. She shakily handed him the paper, he got up and walked towards the door.
As he turned the doorknob, he smiled, "It's nice meeting you. I'll be in town for a couple of weeks, if maybe we could... "
She cut him off before he could finish the sentence, "Of course!"
He laughed then walked out the door. She fell back in her chair, she was still shocked. Her heart was beating so quickly, but all she could do was smile.
