My Life With Green Day, chapter 46

"Oh, Billie! I... Don't know what to say," I stuttered happily. He got off his knee and placed the ring on my finger.

"Say yes then. It's the best answer," he grinned excitedly.

"Billie, of course I'll marry you," I squealed shrilly. I threw myself onto him, hugging him tightly.

"Okay well the concert starts at ten and it's," he paused to look at his watch, "ten minutes until nine. So we can celebrate after the concert," he said slyly. I nodded happily and smiled. "Okay, well move your soon to be Mrs. Punk ass out to the van." He pushed me out the door while saying so.

"Dude yes dude Mr. Punk," I saluted playfully. He shut the door behind us and we headed for the concert.
***Concert time***

"Okay we are going to play 'American Idiot' all the way through and then throw in some older shit," Billie Joe called from on stage. The crowed screamed as a pleasurable response. I sat backstage, twiddling with the golden band on my finger. I hummed along to the songs occasionally then the music stopped.

"What is he doing now," I wondered out loud to myself. I was soon answered.

"I asked my girlfriend to marry me and she said yes," Billie said suddenly. The crowed had a mixed response; some awwwed because they thought it was sweet, some grumbled because they had to stop moshing, and some even cried. "I'm gonna go drag her ass out here!" Billie ran off stage and into the back room where I was still sitting. "Come on stage with me please," Billie asked as he dragged me towards the stage. I allowed myself to be pulled onto the stage. Bright lights and thousands upon thousands of Green Day fans were surrounding me. "This is my bitch Courtney."

I looked back at Billie and hit his arm before saying "Hi" sheepishly into the mic. Screams erupted from around the stadium.

"Courtney, babe, I love you and you know that but please get the fuck off my stage," Billie Joe said as he pushed me towards the curtain that separated the stage from backstage. I did as I was told and plopped on the couch.

"I'm so fucking bored," I sang to absolutely no tune known to man. "Bored bored bored bored time a billion and six." I stopped and then sat up on the couch. "Why am I talking to myself?"

"That was fucking awesome," Tre said as he threw his drumsticks at my head. I giggled and threw them back.

"Tre, don't throw things at Billie's woman," Mike joked. "Billie might kick your ass if you do."

"Yeah, I just might have to," Billie said as he came through the curtain. "Might be kinda fun kicking your ass Tre."

"Dude, my ass is a no kick zone," Tre said as he patted his ass in our faces. "So keep the foot away," Tre warned. He looked at Mike and then said "Especially you! You have some big ass feet."

"Okay Tre! Nobody wants to talk about your ass," Mike cut in quickly, ignoring the comment about his feet. He turned to Billie and I and smiled evilly. "Lets talk about Billie and Courtney instead!"

"Lets not," I grumbled impatiently. I squirmed in my seat from my boredom.

"Somebody's nervous," Tre teased. I made a face at him and the leaned back against the couch.

"He he... Bitch," I mumbled under my breath. Billie looked at me and glanced at Tre. "Fine, sorry Tre," I muttered, faking a smile. 'Happy, ' I mouthed to Billie. He nodded and I rolled my eyes.

"Tre lets leave the love birds alone," Mike whispered loudly into Tre's ear. Tre shook his head violently, not wanting to leave. "We could call the girls," Mike tempted. Tre sighed before getting up and followed him reluctantly out of the room.

"Thank god," I sighed. Billie, who had been standing behind the couch the whole time, came and sat next to me. He nuzzled in the crook of my neck. I loved when he was like this; he was so vulnerable and so innocent.

"So how are we celebrating together," Billie asked as he took his head from my neck.

"I don't know but I want to get moving! I'm flippin bored," I said as I bounced off the couch.

"Don't ever say flippin again! It reminds me of that gay ass movie Napoleon Dynamite," Billie grumbled.

"Hey! I loved Napoleon Dynamite," I defended.

"It's Tre's favorite too! I think if you ask him his favorite scene, he'll probably describe the whole fucking movie! I've seen it at least a million times," He said, now growing impatient for something.

"HA! Beat ya," I called. "I've seen it a million trillion times!"

"You are SO pathetic sometimes," Billie moaned, running his hand through his hair.

"Hey! Don't talk to your woman like that! I might have to kick your ass myself," I said pointing to myself. I sat back down on the couch, waiting for Tre and Mike to come back. Billie slung his arm around my shoulders while humming Longview to himself. Finally, Tre came back, Mike tagging along behind him.

"How are they," Billie asked.

"How are who," Tre asked dumbly.

"The king and queen of fucking Sweden dipshit," Billie laughed.

"Billie is there even a king and queen there," I asked. He placed his hand over my mouth, slightly annoyed with me.

"Oh Maggie and Brittany? They are fine," Tre said. The whole time Mike was really quiet.

"Okay well Courtney and I want to celebrate alone," Billie said as he winked at the other two. "So we'll see you tomorrow." Billie tugged on my hand and pulled me into the nearest taxicab, kissing me the whole time.
