Because of You, chapter 1
"Wake up..!"
"huh, wha.." I opened my eyes and looked around my room. I saw my friend Kirstin and my sister Katie in my room. I sat up and gave them and look and put my head back down on my pillow. I saw Kirstin carefully pick up a cup and chuck it at me. It was filled with water."What the hell!!" I said sitting up once again. Kirstin and Katie sat there laughing at me. I looked at the clock, at my bedside. I groaned, it was 9:00am. I pulled the covers over my face. "Come on get out of bed!" Kirstin said loudly shaking me. Finally I gave up to the evil wrath of my sister and Kirstin and got out of bed. I shooed them out of my room and got changed. I went downstairs and they were already eating their breakfast.
I went and took a seat. I poured my self some cerial and milk. There was a dead silence for about two minutes finally I said "Why did you wake me up so early?"Looking at Kirstin and Katie, they both shrugged. " We wanted to see you're reaction?" she shrugged again. After I finished eating I slowly climbed the stairs and went into the shower. "After you're done in the shower we have something for you Danielle!" Katie yelled up. I nodded to my self knowing that they didn't even know if I heard them or not. I took off my clothes, turned on the shower and climbed in. I stood there for a few minutes thinking, drifting off. Quickly I snapped back into what I was doing and quickly finished my shower.
I got dried off and changed and went down stairs. I saw Kirstin and Katie scurring over to the other side of the room. I gave them a puzzled look and they just nodded. They got 3 big boxes and one rectangular one. They pointed to the medium sized box and I slowly went over to it and started opening it. I gave them a quick glance, they stood there, watching me grinning from ear to ear. I finished unwrapping it, and what I saw I could not believe. I stood there crying. I ran over to Kirstin and grabbed her. Then I went over to Katie and gave her a huge hug. I must have said thank you a dozon times. I watched as they opened theres. I stood there with my mouth open, Kirstin had a drum set, but what was writtin on it was what shocked me the most, and I started crying even harder. They opend the rectangular box. I was crying so hard already I just had to sit down. We sat there for a while, there arms around me. I still couldn't believe it. What I was one step closer to what I wanted most. After a few minutes of crying I wiped away my tears. I had to take off my makeup because it was all over my face. When I looked in the mirror it made me feel a bit better cause I looked like I was dead. I went and picked up the guitar they had just givin me. (Now I know you might be thinking it's just a guitar, but we are very very poor and can hardly pay our rent to our small apartment. We work 4 days a week and get payed very little.) I started playing some chords on my guitar. Kirstin walked over to her drum set and smirked at me. "So..how do you like the name?" she asked me, grinning. I smiled at her. "Whiplash, I don't think you can get any more creative than that!" I said as she started playing some random notes. Katie went and picked up her brand new base guitar. After a few minutes we had already written our very first song called "Suprise".(We had amps and stuff, we were plugged in.) I looked at them and said "We should try and get a record contract..when where good enough that is. Kirstin got up out of her chair and ran upstairs. It looked like she had tears streaming down her face. I looked more confused then ever."What the eff is going on here!?" I said yelling at Katie. "She's getting something." Katie said calmly. A few moments later Kirstin came running down the steps with tears on her face but with a huge grin spread accross it. She held out something and all I can remember is Katie and Kirstin screaming, then all black.
