The Worst Day of Billie Joe's Life, chapter 1
Billie Joe sighed and rolled over in bed. It was 2:AM, and still he wasn't asleep. He was thinking of the awful day he'd had.

Billie Joe woke up late. He glanced at the clock, then jumped fifteen feet in the air. "10:30! Oh my gosh!" He flew down the stairs, tripped over his own feet at the bottom, and fell flat on his face in front of Mike and Tre.
The irrepressible Tre looked at Billie Joe, who was still on the floor, and remarked casually to Mike, "Oh, since peach season is over, it must be Billie Joe season."
Mike chuckled and shot back, "But instaed of falling from trees, they fall from stairs!" Billie Joe picked his bruised body up and lumbered into the kitchen to make breakfast.
He burned the toast and his tongue, the undercooked the eggs and nearly got food poisoning from an old slice of ham. But the coffee was the worst.
He had spilled boiling coffee all over himself and the kitchen. Screaming and howling, he leaped across the kitchen on one burned foot. Mike and Tre came running with some burn cream. Burned and bruised, Billie Joe sat down to read the newspaper. All bad news.
Then Mike reminded him about the show that day. Billie Joe had smacked himself on the head, run upstairs, and turned his room upside down looking for something to wear. The only outfit he found was really lame.
Then in the car to the show, Billie Joe had gotten carsick. At the beginning of the trip, he had felt a little queasy, and had mentioned this to his friends. Tre had said, "I told you not to eat that ham!" and Mike had put his arms around Billie Joe's shoulders and told him he'd feel better soon. But it just got worse.
After 30 minutes, Mike noticed Billie Joe wasn't looking good at all, and after 45 minutes, Mike and Tre saw Billie Joe squeezing his eyes shut, clutching his stomach, and groaning. So Tre had pretended he had to go to the bathroom, and he took Billie Joe and Mike with him.
They sat Billie Joe down, got him some water, and told him it would be okay.
Billie Joe had made it to the place where the show was going to be held. But onstage, as he attempted to do a jump, he had fallen over and into the crowd, guitar and all!
It turned out he had sprained his wrist, so they called of the show and took him to the nurse backstage. His little fall was in newspapers and magazines everywhere. He had turned on the news back at home, and there was a slow motion replay of his fall on!
