"What about this Stella?" Billie asked me as he pointed at a belt that looked like it had bullets on it.
"I don't know...hey what do you think of this?" I asked as I picked up an MCR t-shirt up. It was red with a gun and the MCR logo.
"That's awesome," Dad said as he picked the t-shirt out of my hands and took a better look.
"A gun? Isn't that a bit unsuitable?" Mom said as he took the t-shirt off of my dad and put it back in the clothes rack. I sighed and smiled at mom.
"Whatever you say," I said as I went deeper into the shop. Dad followed me and put his hands on my shoulders.
"I'll buy that t-shirt for him. It's only fair. Now come on. We need something for you to buy for him." I smiled and we went right to the back of the shop.
We looked for ages. We picked up Good Charlotte posters, punk key rings, kinky patches, weird badges, eatable underwear, everything really!
"Hey Stella come over here," Dad said as I took a look through the shirts.
"Ok" I said as I put a green shirt. I walked over and he showed me the jewellery.
"Dad, I don't think Frankito would want jewellery," I said, as I was about to walk back.
"No, look. They have some with guitar picks and they have messages on them. Look this one says 'with you always' and that one there says 'sex bomb'...but you mom wouldn't approve of that one. Or for $2 you can get them to put your own message on there." I looked at dad with the biggest grin ever.
"Dad your awesome thanks," I said as I hugged him. Dad smiled and then went to go help Tre get something for Frankito.
I looked through them all but nothing really was to my taste.
"Help?" I looked up and saw a guy with snakebites and a maw hawk.
"Yeah...how long does it take to get your own message on one of these?" I asked.
"10 minutes tops. And only $2 more." He said. I nodded and then came onto an idea of what to put on there.
"Well can you do one for me then?" I asked as I gave him a blank green pleck drum.
"Sure. What do you want it say?" He asked me.
"333 half way to hell," I said. The man smiled and then nodded.
"Come back in 10 then, wooh and can I ask who is this for?" The guy asked as he wrote down the message I wanted on it.
"A really close friend," I said with a grin on my face.
"Wooh ok then. Keep it a secret. Anyway yeah come back in 10 ok" I nodded and then went to see what Tre had gotten.
Other side of shop where Tre is looking for a hat for Frankito
"Hey dad...why is Adie sick?" I asked as Tre rummaged through the box full of hats.
"What you mean? She's just sick," Dad said as he looked at me. I looked at his expression closer and noticed he was panicking a bit.
"Dad the truth," I said as I looked at him with one of my looks. He sighed and pulled me into a corner the shop.
"We think she might be pregnant," I looked at dad with wide eyes. SHE'S PREGNANT!
"I thought it was unusual for her to be sick. She never is. Wow...YAY," I said as I began to jump up and down.
"I know I have found the hat!" I looked around and saw Tre jumping up and down. Everyone laughed and so did I.
"Don't say a word. Joey and Jakob don't know yet," Dad whispered in my ear. I crossed my heart with my fingers.
"Hey what did you get Frankie boy?" Tre came up to me and asked.
"A pleck drum saying 333 half way to hell. And it's the same colour as his guitar" I said as a huge grin came across my face. Tre smiled and then looked around.
"We should come back to this shop one day. ITS AWESOME!" Tre shouted. Every single person in the shop looked in our direction and started to point. I could her people whispering 'drummer' 'Green Day' 'kids' it was kinda funny.
"Excuse me but can I have a photo with Green Day?" We looked around and saw two girls and a guy there with a camera. The guy was tall wearing a Green Day sweatband and one girl had red hair and a Ramones t-shirt on and the other girl had green hair with a bar in her eyebrow with a plain red t-shirt.
"Sure," Dad said as he got Billie and Tre together.
"I'll take the picture," I said as I took the camera off of the guy and stood in front of them.
"Ok say parrot," I said. They looked weird at me but they all said parrot all the same.
"Wooh got to go and get my pleck drum," I said as I gave the camera back.
"Thanks," The guy said thanks and then went back to the counter to get my pleck drum.
Adrienne is pregnant! Woooooooooop!
Back at the house
"Are you going to get anything else for Frankito?" Emma asked, as we got ready for bed.
"Yeah probably. I'll get him a huge bar of chocolate, and maybe a sweat band," I said as I put my pyjama top on.
"Awesome. You think I should get him something? Like a card?" She asked as she put curlers in her hair.
"If you want. He won't expect anything from you mind," I said as I sat on my bed.
"I know but I've met him now and I'll most probably see him more often so might as well try and make a good impression" I smiled and threw the quilt over my self.
"I think I'll get him a present as well...what do I get him though?" Emma asked me.
"Erm well do you want to buy a piece of clothing or accessories bath stuff guy stuff joke?" I asked trying to give her some inspiration. I know Frankito would be thrilled if he got a present off of Emma.
"Wooh I'll get him scented socks. You can get these ones for guys, they have a picture of these pirate monkeys and they smell of banana" I laughed and nodded.
"Awesome. He'd like that," Emma laughed and there was a little silence where I had time to think of Frankito.
"Stella... what did you first think of me?" Emma suddenly asked me.
"What do you mean?" I asked a little confused.
"I mean. Did u think I was a slut or something or a dumb blonde?" I sat up and looked at Emma.
"I didn't think you were a slut no! I just thought you were... I thought you were like one of those popular kids that labelled everyone," I said. I can't tell Emma a lie! She's going to be my half sister soon.
"Thanks for the truth Stella. To be honest I thought you were one of those rebel bullies or something" I laughed at the thought of me bullying younger kids. I'm more scared of the little kids!
"Tee hee thanks Emma. You're awesome though. I think your going to be a great sister," Emma laughed and nodded
"Same here. I'll turn the light off. Night Stella and thanks again"
"Night," I said back as I snuggled my face into my pillow.
Next day on the bus on a school trip.
"So where's Emma?" Charlie asked as the bus stopped out side the museum.
"She's home schooled so mom has the day off to take her shopping and just show her around. She's and awesome person mind," I said as I got my coat off of the floor.
"Can't wait to meet her," Charlie said. I smiled and then the teacher came to the front of the bus.
"Now I want you all on your best behaviour. Listen to everyone who talks because there will be a quiz at the end of the day and the winning team gets a free pass for the rest of the year to the museum. Now we want you all to be in a group of four when you do the quiz and when you have free time ok." Everyone mumbled a yes and we all scrambled off of the bus.
"Ok so Destiny, Joey, Frankito and Stella in one group and Charlie, Dan, me and... erm HEY, Steph want to come and hang with us?" Tom said as he looked over at Steph.
Steph was more of a heavy metal girl but she was awesome. We get along but we don't usually hang out and lucky for her she gets along with Charlie the best.
"Yeah sure," She said as she walked towards Charlie.
"Great sorted," Tom said as we all got a sheet of paper with the questions and a pencil off of the teacher. Frankito held my hand as we walked. I smiled and I saw that Destiny and Joey were holding hands as well.
"And all of you couples behind there. NO FALLING BEHIND," We all laughed and caught up with the rest of the year.
"World War Two started in 1939, but as we all know we didn't join until Pearl Harbour was bombed by Japan... " I started to tune out when this old man began talking about the war. Is that all old people talk about...the war. Fine ok loads of people died and it was horrible but, not to sound nasty I don't know anyone who was involved in the war so, I don't care that much. Man I hat history.
"Told you biology was the best," Frankito whispered in my ear. I laughed remembering back to the make out session in the closet in school.
"Would you like to share anything with us Estelle?" I looked up and saw an angry teacher. Everyone looked at me and I felt my self turn red.
"No miss," I said as everyone took their glance away from me except Mariah who gave me a dirty look. She looked away and I poked my tongue out at her.
"I wish shed leave us alone," Frankito said as he sighed. I nodded and tried to look as if I was paying attention.
"Ok you now have time to go around in your groups and to answer the questions on the sheet. There are clues around here to help you and remember about the prize. Be back here before 2:30," The teacher told us as we all then ran away in our groups.
"That man was boring," Destiny said as we walked into the cave man expedition.
"Tell me about it. Man, this place is boring," Joey said as he looked at the obviously fake cave men.
I stood staring at one whom was breast-feeding a baby.
"Their called cave men so...is that a woman or a man breast feeding that child?" I asked pointing at the she-male. The guys laughed and then looked at the she-male and they were suddenly hypnotized.
"You know what Stella...I have no idea," Frankito said. I laughed and then we all carried on.
We were near the Egyptian part of the museum when we bumped into Mariah and her 'gang'.
"Oh god," I whispered as I held on to Frankito's hand tighter.
"Hey Frankito... " Mariah said as she then gave me a sly look and she walked closer to me.
"Well isn't it our little prankster," She said as the basketball captain and the football captain walked behind her with Brittany by her side.
"Oh Mariah I didn't do it ok. You have no proof. Come on if I did it I would have put food in there," I said trying to make her see that there was no point to make those guys to anything to me.
"Bitch you lie!" She shouted as the two guys then came in front of Mariah and looked at me dead on with their dull eyes.
"Back off,," Frankito said as he stepped in front of Joey and me joined in as well.
"Oh look two babies want a fight," The football jerk said. Everyone laughed except for us.
The guys walked closer to Frankito and Joey and they both put up their arms.
I felt my self-shake all over and I really didn't want to see where this was all going.
"No" Destiny shouted as she stepped in front of the football captain and pushed him away. I saw what she was doing and I did the same with the basketball captain. Destiny and I pushed them so far that they bumped into Mariah and Brittany and they all fell onto the floor with the captains on top of the girls.
"RUN!" I shouted as I grabbed Frankito's hand and rain into the Egyptian zone place thing.
We ran into the part where they were explaining how they made mummies and we stopped and took a breath.
"Those guys were ready to hit a girl. That is out of order," Joey said as he looked around to see if anybody was around.
"Twats," Frankito said as he sat down on the floor leaning against the glass of one of the presentations.
I sat down next to Frankito and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Who wants Mariah to move to another cotenant?" I asked. We all raised out hands and we all laughed.
"Right you want to do some of this quiz in case we get detention?" Destiny asked as she got the quiz out and the pencil.
"Yeah go on then. What's the first question?" I asked as I Destiny sat next to me and then Joey sat next to her.
"First queation. When did the war start?" We all thought for a while when I got the answer.
"1939," I said. Destiny nodded and wrote it down.
"Ok next...when did it end...ok who's had enough?" Joey said, as he looked fed up already. We all laughed and put our hands up.
"We'll just say we lost it," I said. Everyone nodded with agreement and then we all just sat there.
We only sat there for around 10 minutes when we heard voices. We looked to the left and saw four figures. Two were skinny and two huge.
"THERE THEY ARE!" One guy shouted.
SHIT" Joey shouted as well all got up and ran away again.
Not again.
We ran out of the Egyptian place and went back into the war place.
"What happens if they catch us?" Destiny asked as she looked behind and saw that they were catching up.
"We get beaten to a pulp," I said. Destiny looked sacred as we carried on running. We turned a corner and it was a dead end.
"Fuck," Joey said as he ran straight into the wall with a huge 'thud'. We all looked back as we saw the captains again.
"Nowhere to run now," They both said.
