Adrienne started thinking back to when she saw Green Day in Minnesota. How she kind of liked Billie Joe when she first saw him, and how he kept looking her way, but she thought nothing of it. How after the show he said he wanted to see her again. She started thinking about that night, but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Mom?" asked Joey. Adrienne wiped away her tears so Joey wouldn't see, or get worried about anything. Adrienne got up off the bed and opened the door. There stood Joey he his eyes were all red and puffy. Adrienne could tell he had been crying, she just hoped Joey couldn't see it in her eyes as well.
"Joey sweetie, are you okay? You should be asleep." said Adrienne putting Joey in her lap as they both sat down on the bed.
"Are you and daddy going to break apart" asked Joey.
"You mean get a divorce?" asked Adrienne hoping that wasn't what he meant.
"Ya." said Joey. Adrienne bit her lip a bit. Adrienne wished she could say everything was okay, but she was scared herself what was going to happen.
"No honey no." said Adrienne hugging Joey in her arms trying not to cry again. It broke her heart to see Joey cry because of her and Billie Joe.
"Well all you guys do is fight now a days and daddy's never home and when he is you guys fight." said Joey as his eyes watered up. Adrienne felt a lump in her throat. The lump you get when you are trying with all your might not to cry.
"Oh honey your dad and I we just have some issues to work out, everything is going to be alright." said Adrienne still hugging Joey. She was just hoping that everything was going to be all right between Billie Joe and her, she was willing to compromise if he was for Joey and Jakob's sake.
"Okay." said Joey.
"Now let's go tuck you back in." said Adrienne. Joey nodded. Adrienne picked him up and carried him into his room. She laid him down in the bed, and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
"Goodnight Joey. I love you." said Adrienne walking towards the door.
"Goodnight mom I love you too." said Joey.
"Night." said Adrienne. She turned off his light switch and closed the door. She decided to check on Jakob. She cracked his door open, and took a quick peak in. She looked at the mirror in the hallway. Her mascara and eyeliner was all smeared and her eyes were still red and puffy. She heard the front door open. She looked down the hall. There stood Billie Joe she looked at him in the eyes and she did the same with him. He looked away grabbed his wallet which was sitting on the coffee table and left again. Adrienne felt the tears coming back. She went back into the bedroom and noticed the photographs on the nightstand again and started thinking back to the night when Billie Joe had to leave to go back on tour. It was a couple weeks after they had just met.
* Flash Back*
"Billie do you really have to leave?" asked Adrienne.
"Ya Adie I do. I wish you could come with me. I'm going to miss you so much." said Billie Joe running his fingers down Adrienne's cheek. They were both snuggled under a blanket on the hood of Billie Joe's car.
"I'll miss you." said Adrienne staring into Billie Joe's eyes.
"I will to. I wrote a song about you and what you are to me." said Billie Joe.
"Really what am I?" asked Adrienne smiling.
"My Minnesota Girl." said Billie Joe. Billie Joe got up and went into the backseat of the car, and returned with an acoustic guitar.
"I wrote this song the one night when I had to leave after we met it's called Minnesota Girl." said Billie Joe.
"Sittin on the hood of a camaro, Walkin shooting stars across the earth, Counting all the bites from the mosquitoes, There goes my Minnesota girl...Lazy days Gone without notice, In a daze... with faraway eyes. Driving to a closed spot Wednesday afternoon there goes my Minnesota girl...In a daze Go without notice

"Oh Billie that was so beautiful." said Adrienne felling her eyes fill up with tears.
"Does it sound familiar?" asked Billie Joe.
"Ya it's what we did the 1st date we went on. Also when we had to be apart what happened." said Adrienne.
"That's right. That was one of the best days of my life." said Billie Joe.
"Mine too." said Adrienne. They leaned closer and kissed for a few minutes.

Adrienne would never forget that night. Also another one she wouldn't forget was the first time Billie Joe sang her 2,000 light years away and 80......
