Stupid Billie, chapter 7
While Tre and Thea had been in science, Caitlin, Sami, Bam and Billie were being forced to sit through history.
"Aww I going to fall asleep!" Sami complained.
"Someone beat you to it," Caitlin said, pointing at Bam, who was slumped over on his desk and snoring loudly.
"Wake up!" Sami said, slamming her fist across his head.
"Ouch! What the fuck?" He shouted.
The whole class turned, hearing this.
"Office," Ms. Broduer said tensely. "All of you."
"But-"
"Office!"
"Damn you Bam!" Billie snapped as they left the room. "I'm trying to pass middle school, not fail it and get sent to the office!"
"And what about us?" Caitlin added. "We're good students!"
Sami laughed at that.
"Well... sometimes... "
On their way to the office, they ran into Tre and Thea.
"What did he do?" Sami asked Thea.
"It was her fault!" Tre rushed to his own defense. "She burst out laughing."
"Because you didn't know what a guidance counselor was!"
"You don't know what a guidance counselor is?" Caitlin gasped. "That's crazy!"
"Isn't it?" Thea agreed. "So now instead of doing my work I'm introducing him to the guidance counselor and I have homework!"
"Haha." Sami just laughed at her.
"You may be my favorite member of my favorite band, but if you get me any more homework I'll fucking kick your ass." Thea threatened Tre.
"He's your favorite? What about me?" Billie whimpered.
"Oh, you're hotter Billie." Caitlin told him.
"Yay!"
"What about me?" Bam whined.
"You're all so narcissistic. Isn't having over half the country adore you enough? Do you really need to compete with one another?" Thea asked.
"Well... "
"She didn't want an answer." Sami said. "Dumbasses... "
They continued down toward the office, and they found Veronica.
"What happened to you?" Caitlin asked.
"Well... Mike got sent down to the office, so I better go talk to him." She ran ahead. "Hey Mike!"
"What?"
"Wanna come over after school?"
He looked at her suspiciously. "Why?"
"I still don't get it... "
He jumped up. "Why you... "
Veronica already turned and ran down the hall. "Caitlin I don't get Mike!"
"Huh?"
Billie walked up to Mike and sat down next to him. "How'd you get sent to the office?"
"Swearing in class."
"Me too!" Bam shouted. Sami shushed him.
"This is all your fault Billie." Mike glared at him. "Stupid Billie."
The girls were talking amongst themselves. (Tre disappeared into the bathroom. I don't want to know what he was doing, do you?)
"You know, your life gets turned upside-down really fast when your favorite band comes to your school." Caitlin said.
"Sure does." Veronica agreed.
"It's odd, isn't it... especially since they're all in their thirties... except Bam... but he's not part of the band... " Thea started on rambled, so everyone ignored her.
"I don't understand why their schedules match ours exactly." Sami said.
"Yeah... that's weird... " Veronica said.
"Don't question good things!" Caitlin hissed.
Tre walked out of the bathroom, put his arm around Thea, and asked, "So am I going to meet this 'guidance counselor'?"
She was staring at his hand. "Um... did you wash your hands?"
"Oh course! What kind of dirty person do you think I am?"
She shrugged and pulled his arm off her. "You don't want to hear the answer to that. Come on. See you guys later."
Veronica walked over to Mike and told him he had to come to science now.
"Science? Do you get that?"
"Sometimes."
"Okay," he said rather hesitantly. "Bye Billie."
"No, I wanna go with Mike!" Billie griped.
"You don't get a choice." Caitlin said. "Come on, it's D period. Only two more periods until lunch."
Bam perked up when he heard that. "Lunch?"
"Two more periods." Sami reminded him.
"Well if we get in class that will be one less period! Let's go!" He grabbed her arm and started dragging her down the wrong hallway.
"Aww I going to fall asleep!" Sami complained.
"Someone beat you to it," Caitlin said, pointing at Bam, who was slumped over on his desk and snoring loudly.
