Billie The Bully, chapter 30
"Billie?"
Billie looked up from his shot glass to see Lucy yawning her way into the kitchen.
"Hey...are...are you okay?" Billie was slurring slightly.
Lucy smiled as Billie stumbled towards her. "I'm fine...are you okay? How long have ya been drinkin'?"
Billie chuckled. "Not long!! Only a...few hours..."
Lucy watched him stroll over to his chair in an attempt to put it back, then he tripped and practically fell on the table. Lucy giggled and walked towards him, helping him back up.
"Mr. Armstrong," Lucy sniggered, "I think you need to go to bed."
Billie stopped and looked at Lucy, clumsily tucking a piece of hair behid her ear. "You're bootiful, d'ya know that?"
Lucy blushed. "C'mon Bill, let's go upstairs..."
"I love you Lucy." Billie stuttered as Lucy tried to help him upstairs. "Ben thinks...I don't...but I do, I do, I really...do..."
The mermaid was beautiful, with long red hair and a jade-green tail. She whipped out of the water and landed on a nearby rock smoothly, her skin gleaming, her scales glimmering...
CRASH!!!
Ben snapped out of his dream and sat up in bed. Hearing giggles and curses, he made his way to the door, terrified it was his father coming to get Lucy.
When he silently opened his door he saw Lucy and Ben making their way up the stairs.
"I love you too, Billie." Lucy giggled.
Billie was staring at her like she was the most valuable jewel in the world. He cupped a cheek in each hand and kissed her, both their eyes slipping shut as the pair enveloped each other.
Ben closed his door and leaned against it, sighing, and smiling.
Maybe now they could be happy at last.
