My Lame Title (Exciting, eh?), chapter 3

"You know, you guys are really great." Crash said, pulling a black knit hat over her head.
"Thanks. So, are you meeting your friends at the game? Or just Bogeys?" Tre asked tucking his hands in his pockets as the harsh cold winds hit his face.
"Just Bogeys. I wasn't even going to come." She shivered slightly. "I'm glad you came with me." She smiled at him, her teeth chattering slightly.
"Me too." He grinned like a fool, looking down at his shoes.
"Chilly out, eh?" She said.
"Very."
"Hey, my house is just a couples blocks down that way, so we can get my car. It has a heater." She pointed in the opposite direction of the school. "It's closer than school."
He nodded; thankful she had a heated car.

"Well, this is it." She turned, stopping in front of a nice looking house, still on the sidewalk. "I have to get my keys. Are you coming in, or do you want to stay out here?"
"I'll come in. I want to see what it looks like." He said, his eyes still staring at her house.
She sighed, a disgusted look on her face.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Oh... I always feel so out of place here." She said, scrunching up her nose a bit.
"Your house?" He asked, confused.
"Yeah well... We have... This is kind of embarrassing. And by the way, I'm not trying to brag." She turned to him, not walking up to her house yet.
"Okay. You can tell me. Really."
"We have... A lot of money. We're... Well off I guess you could say... And, well, I just don't feel as if I belong here. Wait until you see it, you'll probably understand." She motioned for him to follow as she walked up across the lawn. She opened the door, swinging it open.
"Shit." Tre breathed. He looked around, and you could tell they had a lot of money. "I understand." He said.
Crash jogged up the stairs, and he followed her. She opened her bedroom door, but before swinging it open, she flipped herself around, holding the door closed, but leaning up against it.
"I am warning you. This is biohazards'." She grinned at him jokingly, her eyes sparkling.
She walked in backwards as he followed. He looked around at her room, smiling. One wall was painted black, but not a perfect square, at the edges they were pink, and it looked like someone had almost scribbled along with paint. Another wall was painted, it looked professional, and it was central park. The other wall was painted orange, and the other was white. Clothes were strewn across the room, garbage all over.
"I think... This is messier than my room." He said, almost tripping over an 'unidentified object. '
"Well," She shrugged. "What can I say? I am a bit... Un-organized."
He chuckled as she lowered herself to the floor, rummaging through the contents under her bed.
"Ha." She muttered. Dangling a keychain with various key chains on them.
"Found 'em." She said with a triumphant smile on her face.
"Good. Let's go!" He jumped up and followed her out of the house, and she drove them to the high school.
"I think they're winning!" Crash said, shouting over the cheering of the students.
"Probably!"
Crash motioned for him to follow her up the bleachers. They scored a point, and everyone jumped up, screaming. Crash laughed, grabbing Tre's hand.
"Hey! There's an empty spot!" She pointed to the way back in the corner where there was room for about one and a half. She pulled him over to the seats and had him sit down, then cocked her head to the side. Realizing there wasn't enough room, Tre offered to move, but she said no. Plopping herself on the part where you place your feet, she gathered her knees up to her chest, leaning up against Tre so she was sitting between his legs.

Tre didn't pay attention to the game that night. He had the person whom he would have been ecstatic about if she had sneezed on him, but she was sitting between his legs.
"Hey, uh... Do you want hot chocolate or coffee or something?" Tre said while the teams were huddled as opposite side of the field.
"Uh, coffee! Yes!" She said with a grin on her face.
He nodded, standing up to go to the concession stand, paying for two coffees.

"Hey... Crash?" Melissa came up behind her, startling her.
"Wha-? Oh! Hey!" Crash waved at her slightly, hugging her knees.
"You're here with him." Melissa grinned.
"I know! I invited him when we were in detention together." She grinned.
"Aw, how cute, you guys do detention together." Melissa teased.
"Shut up. I like him Melissa. I really do." Crash looked at her feet.
"More than Jeremy?"
"More than Jeremy. More, more." Crash looked out into the crowd to find Tre walking up the bleachers.
"Shh... He's coming." Crash whispered.
"Okay... I'll leave you two alone." Melissa raised her eyebrows jokingly and walked off.
"Hey... Here ya go." Tre said, handing her a warm Styrofoam cup.
"Oh man... Thanks. You and Billie are my new best friends. Seriously." She said after taking a sip.
Tre chuckled. He watched her as she rummaged around in her jacket, pulling out a flask.
"The fun flask." She said, grinning.
She then popped the top on her coffee, and poured some in, and did the same to Tre's.
"I like the way you think." He said, taking a sip of his now spiked coffee.

The game finished, Crash and Tre's school winning, and Crash drove them to Bogey's, looking over the triumphant crowd and them found the big booth where her friends were sitting.
"Come on... They're over here." Crash grabbed his hand for the second time that day, his heart skipping every other beat, as she pulled him into the booth.
"Hey you guys... This is Tre." Crash introduced him.
"Hey Tre! Oh my God that rhymes!"
"Yes... We know Trixie." Crash rolled her eyes as everyone else said their hello's and ordered.
"So... Does your band play anywhere around here?" Crash said in between bites of a cinnamon pretzel.
"You ever heard of Gilman Street?" Crash nodded her head in recognition. "We play there a lot. You should come some time... If you want to of course." Tre looked down at his burger, almost embarrassed. Why would SHE want to watch THEM?
"I'd love to. When are you guys playing next?" Crash grinned to herself.
"Um... Actually, we're playing tomorrow night."
"Cool. I'm coming."
