Who's that fucker over there?, chapter 10
Billie pushed the shopping cart as Adie scanned the aisles.
"Do you like the green or the blue better?" Adie asked Billie.
Billie shrugged. He really didn't care.
"Honey, you're not helping at all," Adie said, taking hold of Billie's hand.
"Maybe the green," murmured Billie before kissing Adie's lips.
A grin curled up on Adie's lips as she kissed Billie back. Adie lost her balance and fell over on the crib cushions. Billie was horrified as he gently picked her up.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
Adie laughed and nodded.
Everyone was staring at the couple that had knocked down a row of crib toys. Billie picked up the knocked over boxes, feeling pressured.
Tre examined the menu at the pick up window of the In-N-Out Burger. He drove up to the order window and ordered a cheeseburger. Tre thought about Gina while he waited for his cheeseburger. Tre had decided to give up on Gina, but he still felt an attraction for her. He tried to forget about Gina, but she still haunted Tre's dreams. Her personality was repelling and was the opposite of Tre's type. Tre mindlessly accepted the burger as the man handed it to him. Tre drove off. He decided to visit Mike. He professionally unwrapped his cheeseburger with one hand as he steered with the other hand. He had finished his burger by the time he reached Mike's house. He walked to Mike's doorstep and knocked. There was no answer. This time Tre rang the doorbell. He stood and waited, but Mike never appeared. He took his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed Mike's cell. Mike picked up.
"Hello?" asked Mike's medium-high voice.
"Hey. It's Tre. Where are you?"
"I'm at the mall,"
"For what reason?"
"I'm finding a date gift for Ana," Mike replied proudly.
"When are you coming back?"
"I dunno... Maybe in an hour?"
"I'm outside of your house,"
"Come back later."
Tre looked at his watch. Then he sighed.
"Ok. I'll see you in a bit,"
"Ok. Bye,"
"Bye."
Tre hung up.
He decided to go over to Billie's place instead.
