Who's that fucker over there?, chapter 13
Mike woke up, not knowing where he was. He looked to his side and saw Ana there. He panicked and tried to think out what had happened last night. He couldn't think very well, and his head hurt. He figured that he had some alcohol last night. Ana's hand was resting on top of Mike's stomach. He twitched, causing Ana to change position. She muttered something to herself as she turned onto her side. Mike sat up. He was dizzy and he was seriously confused about everything. He looked around.
He saw pictures of Ana at the beach, at a picnic, and with Mark. Mike's heart beat faster. Was this Ana and Mark's room? Then what about Mark?
Mike lightly brushed his fingers against Ana's soft arm. Ana woke up.
She looked at Mike and it took a second for her to realize that Mike was in her bed. She gasped as she looked around.
"Mike... ?" she said.
Mike looked down.
"I don't know why I'm here... Or how I got here," Mike explained.
Ana seemed to panic, too.
She reached for the phone and speedily dialed Mark's cell number. Mike heard some shouts on the phone and the sound of a line going dead.
Ana dropped the phone.
"Mike," she whispered.
Mike could see that her eyes were tearing up.
"He's gone," she finished.
"I can't believe it's Sunday already," Billie said as he prepared the pancake batter.
Adie was sitting at the dining table.
"It's ok, isn't it? It's not as bad as you thought it would be," Adie reasoned.
Billie shrugged. She was a little right. He rarely even had to go to class and no one noticed.
"Yeah... I guess so," he answered.
Billie was in a good mood and that boosted Adie's mood, too.
The phone rang. Adie answered it.
"Hello?" she answered.
"Hi Adrienne. It's Mike. Do you mind if I talked to Billie for a second?"
Adie slowly nodded. He seemed frantic.
Adie handed the phone to Billie.
"I'll take care of the food," Adie whispered.
Billie put the phone up to his ear.
"Hey?" he answered.
"Hey. I have to tell you something. I don't think I can tell it all over the line. Do you mind if I come over?" Mike asked.
"Yeah, It's fine with me,"
"Thanks. I gotta go now, bye,"
"Bye."
Billie put the phone down.
Adie looked at Billie.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Mike's gonna come over and explain it," Billie replied.
Billie heard a knock on the door right then.
Billie rushed to the door and answered it. Tre was standing there.
"Hey, what are you doing here again?" Billie asked.
"Mike called and asked me to come over to your place. I mean...If that's ok with you," Tre said.
Billie let Tre in. He led Tre to the kitchen. Adie was setting the table.
"Umm... Tre's going to be eating with us this morning," Billie informed Adie.
Adie looked up and pushed a hair off her face.
She smiled and said hi.
She set down a plate for Tre and asked him to sit down. Tre stabbed his pancake with the spork Billie offered him.
"Did you start on the baby room yet?" asked Tre.
Adie nodded.
"We're gonna ask some workers to come over and repaint the room blue. We already chose out the cribs and stuff," Adie explained proudly.
Billie didn't understand Adie. If he were the one giving birth to the baby, he would be complaining all the time.
