Who's that fucker over there?, chapter 17
Mike listened to Tre ramble on about Lisea. Tre just couldn't keep his thoughts to himself.
"And whenever she passes by... I just go like... DOIIING!" Tre said, demonstrating with his hand.
Mike laughed, burying his face in his pillow.
"You seriously have a crush on a teacher?" Mike managed to say through his laughter.
Tre looked at Mike's face.
"Yeah," he said.
Mike rolled on his back.
"This is great. It feels just like the days," he said.
"Dude, remember when you were on that acid trip? You just pulled out your bass and played. It was awesome," Tre recalled.
Mike grinned.
Billie walked into the room.
He plopped down on the ground.
"Yo," he said.
"What are you gonna do over the weekend?" Mike asked Billie.
"I dunno... Maybe I should visit Adie. Why?" Billie replied.
"Tre?" Mike asked Tre.
"I'm gonna ask Ms. Lyon out on a date!" he exclaimed.
Billie raised an eyebrow.
"What? On a date? A teacher?" He asked.
"Well, you haven't seen this woman yet," Tre replied with a smirk.
"You're full of surprises... " Billie muttered.
"Well I was thinking... Do you guys just wanna get away from it all? You know, like go to the beach and hang out?" Mike asked.
Billie pursed his lips.
He wasn't really a beach person. It was kind of odd, since he grew up in the bay area. The beach was all that was there.
"Then how about I ask Ms. Lyon tonight? It's Thursday... " Tre said, getting excited.
"Yeah, but do you think it's against the school rules to be dating a teacher?" Mike reasoned.
"We'll see what Ms. Lyon has to say," Tre said mischievously.
"And also, I don't think she'll like the short notice. And you barely know her!" Billie added.
Billie and Mike's words wouldn't stop Tre. He was truly determined to make this lady his.
"I'll... Be right back," Tre said, getting up.
Mike and Billie watched Tre walk out that door.
"Strange man... " Billie murmured.
Tre clutched onto his rose. He sniffed it one more time before entering Ms. Lyon's classroom. Ms. Lyon was sitting at her desk with her black rimmed glasses on. She was grading some exam papers.
She looked up when she noticed Tre approaching her.
"Why hello, Mr. Wright. Do you need help with something?" she asked as she took off her glasses, revealing her icy blue eyes.
Tre cleared his throat.
"No, not really. I got you these roses," Tre said, sticking the rose in front of him.
He noticed that the rose was slightly wilted.
Ms. Lyon, or Lisea, smiled as she took the roses.
"I was wondering though... " Tre started.
Lisea listened intently.
All of the sudden, all the things Mike and Billie had told him earlier made more sick sense. He didn't feel too good now.
Lisea raised an eyebrow.
"If you'd want to... Go to dinner with me tonight?" Tre finally finished.
Lisea didn't say anything.
Tre felt like throwing up.
"I don't know if it's right, Tre," she said.
"The school doesn't have to know. And plus, I'm 22, I'm completely legal,"
"It's just the school policy. I'm 30, anyways,"
"So what? 8 years."
Tre sat down in a chair. He had a feeling that this will take long to convince Lisea to go out with him.
"They can still get the wrong idea. You're in my freshman class. You don't look all that old, either," she continued.
Tre sighed. It was useless to argue.
"Alright. Alright, I'll leave. I hope you have a nice evening, Ms. Lyon," Tre said with a frown.
He got up and started his way out the door. He hesitated as he put his hand on the doorknob, but then he convinced himself that it wasn't going to work out.
He was right in the hallway when he heard Lisea's voice.
He spun around and looked at her.
"You want me to wear my red dress tonight?" she asked playfully.
Tre grinned.
"You mean, you say yes?!" he asked.
Lisea nodded.
"And whenever she passes by... I just go like... DOIIING!" Tre said, demonstrating with his hand.
Mike laughed, burying his face in his pillow.
