Why Am I Here?, chapter 5
"A-Adie?" She just looked at me for a while. Eyes burning right through me. Then finally she said,"I told you not to come back.... Don't you remember?" Her eyes were now furious, tearing up. "Wait.... I don't..." I studdered. I was terrifyed. "You don't WHAT Billie?! Spit it out!" She pushed me down the steps. "I don't remember ...." My eyes started tearing up. "What do you mean?!" she yelled. "You mean you don't ....don't remember cheating on me ....with some ....whore?! Is that what your trying to say?"
Her eyes were spilling out tears now. I sniffed and said, "...I have amnesia...." She stopped. "Wh-what?" I looked at her sincerely. "I woke up ...at this ...house. My head was bleeding.... I drove all the way over here.... to see you." I choked through tears. I got up and walked to my car. She ran over to my car and got me to come inside.
She sat me on the couch and went to the kitchen. She gave me some water. "Billie?..." She said, concerned. "Yeah?" She bit her lip. She was trying to figure out what to ask me...and tell me. "What....What was happening at that house?" I looked at her. "A party..." She sighed. "Billie... you are in a band.... Green Day. And that party was held by the drummer... his name is Tre Cool. And... the bassist was there too... his name is Mike Dirnt. You've known him since you were ten."
"There... someone called my name at the party.... but I didn't know who it was." I said. "What did his voice sound like?" She asked. "It was a guy's voice but it was high." She smiled. "That was Tre." She said happily. "I have to call them over."
She ran over to the phone and dialed some numbers. I heard the doorbell ring so I walked over to the door. I opened the it. "Billie! How are you?" It was a woman I didn't recognize. "Umm..." She hugged me and then grimaced at Adie. "Why is she still here?" She said disgutedly. "She's my wife." I said.
Adrienne got off the phone. "Billie they said they'd..." She glared at the woman standing next to me. "What? Can't we share?" She said, smacking my ass. I flinched and walked over to Adrienne. The girl scoffed. "What happened to us Billie? You know you couldn't stop looking at me before. I just gave you what you wanted." I guessed this was 'that girl'. She wore a skimpy outfit and had put on her make-up horribly. "Go away." I said. Adrienne and the girl looked at me surprised. "Fine! Stay with that sad excuse of a wife!" With that she walked out.
"I don't like her." I said. "Well at least you said something smart." She smiled. "Mike and Tre said they'd be here at about 12. You can sleep til then." That word sleep just made me feel good. I was finally home. I went upstairs and changed out of my clothes and laid on the bed, falling asleep. This time it wasn't in a car.
