City Slicker Cool, chapter 3
Tre hadn't seen any of the friends he had made in days. Obviously they were working but he hadn't managed to run into any of them either and time was running out. It was his 5th night here and he'd be leaving in two days so he had to make the most of it. He continued to sit on his bed daydreaming about random thoughts until he heard a noise from his window.
*TRE'S POV*
"Tre, Tre!!!", I heard coming from the window. I looked over.
"Stef", I whispered seeing her there. I got up off the bed and walked over to the window pushing it up.
"Hey", she said smiling in an attractive way. Not that I found it eye-catching at all. No, no way!
"Sorry I haven't seen you in a while. I've been kinda busy", she said apologising for being away. I shook my head.
"It's alright", I told her, "Did you want to come in?".
"I actually came over to ask if you wanted to come out?", she told me. I gave her a bizarre and idiosyncratic look. A trade mark of mine.
"And what was it you wanted to ask?".
"Well I'm sleeping in the hay loft of the barn tonight. There's a mare expecting a foal. I was wondering if you wanted to join me at all?", she asked sweetly. I smiled and bit my lip gently.
"Sure do I need anything?".
"No only yourself", she told me helping me out of the window and walking me to the barn.
I couldn't believe it. I was spending the night with a girl in a hayloft with the thought of a horse giving birth. That was all too much for one night.
"You sure you want to be here?", she asked again. I nodded. Come on there couldn't be anything wrong with it. Or so I thought.
*END OF POV*
"Good", Stef told him, "You cold at all?". Tre shook his head.
"When I am I'll tell you", he informed her. Stef smiled and looked up at the loft roof. The high lights let the two see the sky and stars outside. This was really trippy for Tre. He had never done something like this before. Then again he had never thought a girl would offer to want to spend a night with him. Stef sat down beside him taking the blanket off Tre's left shoulder and draping it around herself as well.
"Its going to get a little chilly tonight", she told him.
"Doesn't affect me", he replied placing an arm around her shoulders to keep the blanket up. She smiled and rested her head against his shoulder continuing to look up at the sky.
"So are you going to stay longer?", she asked quietly. Tre thought for a moment.
"I'm going back to get my friends and bring them down here", he told her; "They'd love it". Stef smiled and got up sitting between his legs and having her back up against Tre's chest.
"They sound like fun", she responded making herself comfortable. This was better. Now they were both warmer and closer to each other.
"You don't mind if I fall asleep do you?", she asked. Tre shook his head.
"If you do and something happens I'll wake you", he informed her. She smiled and continued to look up at the sky. Tre rested back up onto his hands and looked up as well.
"So it is true", he mumbled.
"What is?".
"The stars are bigger out in the country", he whispered. Stef giggled and shook her head.
"You're such a typical city slicker", she told him.
"And you're such a typical country gal", he replied with. She turned around to look at him.
"I'm not as typical as you may think Tre", she informed him smiling. He smiled back looking at her closely. He took in her aroma and looked closely at her features. He noticed how her hazel-brown eyes sparkled like the stars and how pearly white her teeth were. He let his eyes travel a little being a typical teenage male. He took a close look at her neck line and shirt travelling slowly down to her chest and then to her waist. She was just what the doctor ordered. There was no other phrase to describe her.
"Damn I have to get down, she nickered", she let out getting up leaving Tre and the blanket up with the hay bales. Tre made his way down following her to the stable door she stood at.
"Tre come look quickly", she told him, making him move there faster. He got to the door and saw the final moments of the pregnancy occur.
"He's so gorgeous", Stef let out smiling. Her eyes were filled up by a sensation of warmth and love as she smiled.
"What is Oh......", Tre said a bit nautious over the sight of the new born . He wasn't the type of guy who ever got sick at the sight of blood he actually liked it. But not in a murderous sense it was interesting to watch but this. This was just to much you could barely make out the color of the foal. He thought it was red at first but turns out it was a brown foal with a white spot on her back. He held back his vomit and took a deep breath getting closer to the sight.
"Do you have a name?", he asked her still fighting back some motions of sickness.
"Well I was thinking. You told me your friends names Mike and uh?".
"Billie Joe", Tre reminded her.
"That's it", she said smiling, "Well the father of the colt was named Justice Michael Morgan. So I'm thinking we could name him Billie and you could have a little of the city with you down here". Tre smiled and hugged her gently picking her up.
"What's your middle name?", he asked her. She responded.
"Jean how come?", she asked curiously.
"Billie Jean Morgan", Tre announced under his breath. Stef smiled and hugged him again jumping up onto him.
"You're so gorgeous", she told him not realizing what she had just said. He blushed slightly and looked down hugging her back again.
"I'm not", he let out keeping an arm around her as the two looked at the colt feeding from its mother. They smiled and decided to keep the news a secret until the morning between each other.
*STEF'S POV*
"You coming back to sleep?", I asked him walking over to the stairs. He followed like a puppy dog.
"Of course", he told me taking a hold of my hand. I smiled and lead him up back to the loft. Once up there I took a seat back where I was before. Tre sat down beside me.
"That's the most amazing thing I have ever seen", he told me, "Its... I'm... speechless". I smiled resting against him gently wondering if he would care. He was in to much delight from what he had seen to even notice.
"Night Tre", I told him quietly pulling the covers up over myself.
"Night Stef", he replied placing his arms back around my waist. Was this normal? I mean guys usually didn't associate with me. Maybe he was just trying to be nice. Yeah that sounds about right. I kept my head rested up against his chest and closed my eyes slowly falling asleep knowing that tomorrow he would be leaving back to the big city.
*END OF POV*
Tre kept his arms around the girl the whole night not letting go. Before he fell asleep he managed to send a text message from his cell:
Have the most amazing things to tell you. I'll see you tomorrow at band practise.
-Tre
Being curious he turned his phone of that night not to disturb the foal or the girl. He gently stroked her hair and placed his arms back around her waist keeping her up right against himself. He couldn't want to go back and tell everyone about the events that had happened and what he had seen whilst being here. He wanted to get there so bad but part of himself also wanted to stay, but this thoughts had to stop for a while as the teenager slowly started to drift off to sleep...
