City Slicker Cool, chapter 6
Stef took Tre's hand leading him to the house. It was dark a little to
dark, but then again they weren't ones to be scared easily.
******Tre's POV*****
"Are you cold?", I asked her. She didn't reply but came close towards me. We continued to hold hands.
"I'm glad you're back I started to miss you", she told me. I smiled sweetly. She was the best thing that had happened to me. I mean I had been with other girls before, but she was different. She understood me and I could be myself around her.
"You alright Tre?", she asked. I nodded and stopped with her at the gate of the property where we had met Billie Joe and Mike.
"Hey!", Mike let out sitting on the fence next to BJ, "We going in?".
"Sure are", Stef told them starting to walk up to the house. She pushed the door open letting herself in.
"WOW Tre! You found someone who's not afraid of anything", Mike let out as they watched the girl walk in. Billie Joe nodded.
"How cute she'll be able to take to care of him when he gets scared at night", Billie joked. Mike gave him a friendly 'guy' punch before they both walked in to the house letting Tre follow them.

"Tre come have a look at this!", Stef squealed from one of the rooms. The boys didn't know where her voice was coming from so they walked into different rooms each. Eventually Billie found her and Steph didn't expect him to.
"Ah hi!", she let out seeing him walk through the door.
"Hey", he replied smiling walking into the room seeing her playing with
something that glittered in the slight. He walked over to her.
"You found something?".
"Yeah how gorgeous is it?".
"Turn around and I'll put it on you", he told her taking the necklace she had found and opened it placing it around her neck.
"Looks good on you", he complimented her wiping a dusty mirror so that she would be able to see herself.
"You think?", she asked hesitantly. She wasn't a girl who was good at receiving compliments as she never had gotten any before.
"Yeah you do. Silver suits you", he said smiling. Stef smiled and got up
Taking his hand walking him into a room where the others were. On the way out he saw her taking another piece.
"Now you're stealing dead peoples stuff?", he asked. She shook her head.
"No, if Nat wants it she can have it", Stef told him. He stopped and stood in front of her taking it out of her pocket kissing her cheek as he did so.
"Trust me I have the perfect person for it", he told her. Stef stood there shocked just as Tre and Mike walked in.
"Where have you two been?", Tre asked them noticing that Stef was a little red in the cheeks. She shook her head.
"No where", she explained, "Where is Ethan and Nat?".
"They disappeared", Mike told them. Billie and Stef looked at each other.
"You mean literally?", Billie asked. Stef ran away from the group into another room.
"What was that?", Tre asked hearing a sound of a dog growing from behind them...
-OUT AT THE ROCK POOLS-
"I never thought I'd find a girl I'd fall in love with", Ethan told Nat making her blush. He sat closer to her letting her rest against him.
"Never thought a guy as sweet and caring as you", she told him kissing him again. She looked back up and saw Stef standing in front of her, "Ah hi".
"Ethan, the dogs back", Stef told him. The young boy stood up.
"Sweetie, come on", he said helping Nat to her feet. She got up and followed them inside having to open the door while the others walked straight though. She rubber her eyes.
"No way", she said out aloud. The door opened.
"You coming in?", Ethan asked from the other side. She nodded and followed.
"TRE! BILLIE! MIKEY!", Stef yelled hearing voices come from the end of the hall way. The three who had just entered the house ran down there. Tre looked up at them just as they came through.
"It's Billie", he said.
"What about Billie?", she asked.
"He's been bitten". Carefully they walked over to him. Ethan picking him up before they carried him back to the Wright property.
-IN A SPARE BEDROOM-
"You alright now?", Stef asked seeing Billie rub his eyes.
"Yeah fine", he told her sitting up to see what she was up to. He watched her bandage up the remaining part of the bite.
"Thanks", he whispered. She smiled looking up at him.
"Its alright, it's the least I could do", she told him getting up from the bed, "I'll let you be alone so you can rest up", she told him walking towards the door. That's when Billie noticed something. Something that just wasn't right.
"NO WAIT", he called out making her stop in front of the mirror. She turned to look back at him.
"Mmmm?", she mumbled. He quickly said the first made up thing that came to his head.
"Don't leave, I get lonely at night", he mumbled loudly. She smiled.
"I'm only going to be gone for about a half an hour. I'll be back to check up on you I promise", she told him assuring him she would return. He looked back into the mirror as she left the room. She was perfect there was nothing wrong with her except for one thing.
'Why didn't her reflection show up in the mirror?'
