Regrets Of A Teenage Life (Sequel To Time Of My Life), chapter 1
It has been 10 years and Matthew is 13 and his new brother Jack is 10. Green Day are really big and have just released American Idiot. Rebecca, Billie Joe and everyone are 28. It is the year 2005.
***Matthew's pov***
"Jack you little twit get out of my room!" I yelled to my little brother Jack.
"Dad Matthew is pushing me!" he yelled to my dad
"Come on guys play nice I am going on tour in a couple days I don't want any fights or arguments!" he yelled back
"But dad it has my private stuff in there!" I protested
"What is so bad in there that you brother can't see. Porn you better not have porn!" he said coming out his room
"No dad I don't have porn" I replied
"Good then I see no reason why Jack cannot go in your room" he told me
"But dad it's my room" I stamped my foot.
"He has a point Billie" said my mom to defend me. Thank god for mothers.
"Aww fine I give up Jack keep out of Matthew's room unless he says so and Matthew keep out of Jack's room unless he says so!" he said pointing his finger at both of us.
"Thanks dad thanks mom" I said to them. They smiled.
"I'm gonna go call on Emma ok?" I asked.
"Ok but don't be too long because we need you to look after Jack we are going out for dinner." my dad yelled
"Ok but can Emma come over?" I asked
"Sure" said my dad
"Thanks" and with that I ran out the door.
***Rebecca's pov***
"Do you think it is time to have a man to man chat with Matthew? I mean pretty soon we are going to have to stop Emma sleeping in the same room as him when she stops." I told Billie Joe
"Yeah I guess you're right I'll talk to him before we go out" I said.
"Thanks" I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.
I got in the shower and was doing my make-up when Matthew and Emma got back it was 7:15pm.
"It's time" I said getting up to go distract Emma while Billie spoke to Matthew.
***Billie Joe's pov***
Aww fuck why me? I knew this time would come I just didn't want it to. I am going to have to go through it twice with Jack as well. Oh well may as well get it over and done with.
"Hey Matthew could you come here a second?" I yelled down
"Yeah coming." he yelled running up the stairs.
"What is it?" he asked standing at the door.
"Well I want to talk to you -gulp- about... About manhood" I started. His face turned red
"Well you know you are at that age when you start.. You start discovering things about yourself." I told him
"Erm yeah" he said looking at me weirdly.
"Ok let's do this easily. Are there any girls you like?" I asked him.
"Erm yeah" he replied
"Who?" I asked again
"Well I guess I can trust you. You are my father after all. It's Emma" he said shyly looking quickly to the floor. I smiled to myself
"Does she know?" I asked
"Not yet but I was going to tell her tonight" he said looking up not so shy anymore
"Well here's the easiest thing. Just incase!" I said putting a condom in his hands and walking out the door.
"Woah dad I am not going to do that I am only 13!" he said astonished
"Well just keep it for when you are and you are nearly 14 I think you can make your own decisionof when you are ready to have sex. I'm surprised the girls can keep their hands off you. Only don't tell your mother!" I warned him
"Thanks dad you rock" he said hugging me and he ran off back downstairs. Well that was easier than expected.
I got downstairs.
"You ready?" I asked Rebecca
"Sure am come on lets go see ya later guy's make sure Jack is in bed by 9:30pm" she yelled
"Ok bye" they all yelled.
We got in the car and drove off.
***Matthew's pov***
Ok 9:15pm not long now till Jack goes to bed.
"Jack go brush your teeth ready for bed" I told him
"Ok" he said running up to the bathroom. He came down a bit later and said goodnight. Well that was him gone for the night. Emma moved closer to me. I could feel myself turning red.
"Matthew I have something to tell you" she said looking up.
"What is it?" I asked quickly
"Well I like you a lot.. More than a friend" she said turning red
"That's funny I like you a lot too I think I love you." I said
"Wow" was all she could say. I pulled her towards me for a hug and we watched a movie with her lying in my arms. It felt good it was easier than I expected it to be. She fell asleep in my arms at 11:00pm my parents came in. My dad looked over at me and winked. I smiled at him and they quietly tip toed to bed.
***Matthew's pov***
