***Billie's pov***
I ran out grabbing my jacket. I went for a walk around the block. I can't believe that Rebecca would say I was jacking off to my son I feel embarrassed. Oh well I will get over it. As I was walking along I got an idea for my last song. I wrote down the first line. Then it all came naturally. I looked over it. I was just about to make a few adjustments when my cell phone rang.
"Hello?" I asked
"Billie Joe where are you. You have been gone for over two hours" came Rebecca's voice.
"Oh well I was just gonna go for a small walk when an idea came for a song and I must have lost track of time. I will be home soon" I replied.
"Ok do you want me to pick you up?" she asked.
"Nah I don't even know where I am I will just follow my footsteps back. I will be home soon love you bye." I answered.
"Ok love you too" and she hung up.
I finished my song as I proceeded to walk home. I looked up after I finished and put my notebook back in my pocket. Where was I? I must have just walked in any direction. I saw a star bucks across the road and went in for a coffee. As I sat down with my coffee I heard someone say hi. I looked up.
"Oh hi" I replied.
"How are you it has been so long since we met" they asked.
"Oh I am great. I have been doing well with Green Day things are going great." I replied.
"Yah I went to your concert in Minnesota it was brilliant and I have seen you a lot on t. V so you know" she answered. It was Adrienne the woman I met in star bucks before one time.
"Yeah we have done a lot of t. V shows and we are about to release a new album sometime in the next half a year or so" I answered.
"Yeah well here is my cell number call me sometime but for now I have to go. Bye" she said handing me a small piece of paper.
"Bye" I replied waving. I finished my coffee and got up to leave. I still had to find a sign as to where I was. For some reason I couldn't. I rang Rebecca.
"Hi?" she asked
"It's me babe. I can't find a sign telling me where I am I think I am in Oakland but it looks different for some reason. I will stop in a hotel and I will get a cab home tomorrow ok?" I asked her.
"Ok babe I love you" she replied
"Love you too" I answered and I hung up. I was walking around looking for a nice hotel when an idea struck. I dialled Adrienne's number.
"Hello Adrienne?" I asked.
"Yeah who is calling?" she asked.
"Oh it is Billie Joe from star bucks" I told her
"Oh hi what's up?" she asked again
"Well I am stopping here tonight I was wondering if I could stay with you?" I asked.
"Yeah I will meet you back at star buck's ok?" she asked
"Yeah thanks that is great bye" I said and hung up before making my way back to star buck's. I sat for about 10minutes when Adrienne came in.
"Hey" she said smiling.
"Hi" I replied.
"Well my house is about 5 minutes away so lets get going" she said pointing to the door.
"Oh ok and thanks again Adie" I replied giving her a small smile.
"It's ok and Adie?" she said putting a stray hair behind her ear. As she lowered her hand she accidentally grasped mine.
"Sorry" she said quickly pulling her hand away.
"It's ok accident and I thought it suited you Adie you know" I answered
"Yeah it's cool thanks" she replied smiling. She had a nice radiant smile so welcoming and heart warming I could feel a tangible heat coming from her when she smiled.
When we got back to Adrienne's we had a beer and chatted about what had happened over the years. I told her about Matthew and Jake and Rebecca and just everything basically. To me Adrienne seemed the sort of person you could tell anything without her judging you. If there was some form of advice you were seeking but felt embarrassed to go anywhere else Adrienne seemed the type of person you could come to every time and I liked that.
It was getting to about 11:00pm and we were getting tired.
"Erm you can sleep in my bed and I will sleep on the couch" she said stifling a yawn.
"No no I will be the gentleman and let you have the bed I will sleep on the couch" I insisted
"No no really go to my bed" she said not giving up
"Fine ok" I said giving up too tired to argue. I went up to her room after saying goodnight. I lay down on her large double bed but I couldn't fall asleep. I needed Rebecca beside me. I got up and went downstairs to find Adrienne tossing and turning to get comfortable.
"Come up to your bed I insist it is big enough for both of us come on" I said grabbing her hand to help her up.
"Are you sure?" she asked
"Positive" I replied.
We got back upstairs and into Adrienne's bed. She shivered with the cold so I gave her a cuddle. Was I feeling something for this woman? Nah just being a gentleman and warming her up that's all.
"Thanks Billie" she said as I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close.
"No problem" I smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead but she took it to mean more and kissed me on the lips. Did I actually mean that "friendly" kiss on the forehead to mean more? He lips were so soft. It made me feel as if I had never been kissed. Then I remembered I had a wife and children I shouldn't cheat but all the same I didn't stop her kissing me I let her pull me on top of her. I was the one who started to unbutton her shirt. She was the one who pulled away.
"You're married" she panted.
"So" I said as I went to kiss her more. So? SO? Was this me thinking? What was I saying? This time she pulled away again
"No Billie think about your kids" she said looking into my eyes.
"You're right sorry" I said. She gave me one last kiss on the lips and buried her head in my neck. I sighed and fell asleep thinking deeply at what I had nearly done. It didn't feel like my own actions it was as if some one had made me do it but no one could have done that. It was me and me alone. I had nearly cheated on my beloved wife yet why did it feel so right? These thoughts would forever haunt me.
