Regrets Of A Teenage Life (Sequel To Time Of My Life), chapter 17
We lay there most of the night just watching TV. It was a while before we said anything. I just lay there next to Billie Joe as he ran his hands through my hair... I slowly started to fall asleep. The last thing I remember of the night was being carried upstairs and carefully set down on our bed. Billie Joe kissed me goodnight and left the room.
*Billie Joe's pov*
I carefully carried Rebecca up to bed and kissed her goodnight. I came back down and flicked through the chanels on t. V. There wasn't much on but I didn't feel tired either. At around 2:00am I decided to give up and retire to bed. I stripped to my boxers and got in carefully beside Rebecca. I wrapped my arms around her and easily fell into a deep sleep.
*Matthew's pov*
Emma and me were staying at Katie's house for a while. We decided to spend a few days at my house and a few at Katies. We were flicking through the channels but nothing was on. We decided to go to bed early it was only 10:30pm but man I was tired. I lay down next to Emma in her bed and fell asleep. I was awoken at 2:30am by an awful dream. I shook it out my mind and went to sleep again.
When we awoke in the morning we went to the mall and just hung around for a while. It was 1 week till Bethany came back and still I had not told her, She would be devestated but Emma is the one I am meant to be with. It wouldn't be long before we went for the first scan come to think of it. While in the mall we had a look at some baby clothes. They were so small... It was weird to think a person like a human being could fit into them.
"Are we going to find out what sex the baby is?" I asked out of curiosity
"I haven't really thought about it but if you want you can find out if I don't" she told me
"Oh no I will only find out if you do" I said not wanting her to be left out.
"Aww thanks" she said kissing the tip of my nose.
We went back to my Aunt Abby's for a while because I haven't seen her in ages.
"Oh Hi Matt! Hi Emma! Come on in!" she said as she stepped aside to let us in.
"Hey Aunt Abby" I said as she pulled me in for a hug. We sat down and chatted mainly about our baby and a little about my dad and uncle Mike and Tre.
"Where is uncle Mike?" I asked noticing he wasn't there.
"Oh he is upstairs resting he is a little grumpy. I dunno why though. Is your dad grumpy?" she asked.
"Meh my mom and him fell out because she thought my dad slept with some chick and he denied it and she didn't believe him but it turned out to be the truth." I explained.
"Yeah Jake was saying they fell out but he never said why" Aunt Abby continued.
"Yeah where is---" I got cut off
"Matt!" came a yell that was Jake's down the hallway.
"Hey Jake" I said giving him a hug.
"Hey guess what" he said
"What?" I asked.
"There's this girl in my class that I really like but I'm afraid to ask her out" he said shyly
"Oh Jake you are only 11 you don't need to think about girls" I told him
"But I can't help it" He protested
"Well what's her name?" I asked
"Her name is Vicki" he stated
"Oh well why don't you just be friends with her for now and get to know her then ask her out. You could invite her for dinner on Friday after school then you could invite her to your birthday that is soon" I suggested
"Yeah that sounds cool thanks Matt" he said as he jumped off the couch and ran back to the playroom with Jack,
It wasn't long after that we left without Jake. We were going to take him home but he wanted to stay and Aunt Abby said it was ok plus, me and Emma were staying at Katies so my mom and dad would have some more time alone. We went to mine and told them Jake was staying out again and we headed around the corner to Katies.
*Billie Joe's pov*
Matt came home and told us that Jake was staying at Abby and Mike's again and that he was stopping at Katies so it was me and Rebecca again. I thought of what we could do... I mean two nights in a row alone we gotta make the most of them right? So I decided I would make her a meal and we could perhaps do some "exercises" ahem.
I decided to make something simple... In other words I can't cook so I just did something simple. I heated up two frozen lasagne's and I made some ice cream for dessert. I set the table and lit some candles. I bought Rebecca in and we sat down and ate.
