Where did Tre go!?, chapter 6
"He can't really be gone again... can he?" Adrienne asked sitting on the couch next to Billie.
"It's impossible, how could he have gotten out? The doors were locked, the windows were too.... and we would have heard him try to get out the door. We know he was drunk, and he can be a mean drunk...." Billie said looking at the floor, with his head in his hands.
"He can't be gone, unless this is all a dream..." Mike suggested.
"No, it can't be, it seems..... so.... so real," Billie said. "We gotta go find him. No matter what."
Mike nodded his head. "Yea, come on," he said, and stood up.
Billie and Adrienne got up too and they left the house. They stopped at all the bars Tré would normally stop at, but he wasn't there. They asked if they had seen him, but no one had. Adrienne drove them to the beach, the sun was setting, and they were tired. "Billie, I promise, we'll find him. He's one of your best friends, we'll find him," she said.
Billie looked at her, he got out of the car and sat on the front, Mike got out and sat next to him. "Bill, you okay?" he asked.
Billie stared out at the sun setting on the edge of the water. Not saying a word. "Mike, do you think we will find him? I mean, we just found him, and then... he goes running off..... do you think he even wants to be around us anymore?"
Mike put his arm around Billie. "Don't think that way man, he would tell us, but I know for sure he wouldn't do that. I mean, he's Tré.... big 'ol lovable Tré. He loves playing for the audience too much. He loves watching you jack-off to the crowd.... He loves this life too much to leave," Mike said.
Billie looked at Mike. A smile spread across his lips. "Thank's buddy. I knew I could always count on you." He had tears in his eyes.
Billie, Mike and Adrienne went back to their house and kept the lights off, and just sat there and watched tv for hours. Finally at 8:00 pm, Billie said something. "Come on guys, we gotta do something, no matter what. Tre's our friend. We can't just let him stay out there by himself again. We need to find him." He stood up and walked out the door.
Adrienne looked at Mike. "Well, we might as well go too, you don't really want them hurt do you?" she asked and got up and went out the door.
Mike nodded and followed.
"God help us," he whispered to himself.
