2 neeks, 1 chav & Green Day, chapter 6

Many people would think it was a boy following Beth. Aha fooled you again. It was someone you would never expect.
"I lost my faith to this, this town that don't exist." Beth sang as she walked home.
"Stop singing, you're burning my ears!" A voice behind Beth whined.
"What?" Beth turned round to see who it was. "KATE!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Oh great." Kate sighed.
"You were the one who was following me weren't you?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because, I don't know."
"Well you should do."
"Aha, fooled you again."
"What?"
"I was trying to find out who was following you."
"No you weren't."
"Ok, I was following you, but I just wanted to see how you could be so happy. I mean you get bullied by nearly everyone in the school. I was just, curious."
"Whatever, just stop following me."
"Tell me why you're so happy and I will."
"I don't listen to you. If you're so interested in my life, then you obviously don't have a life of your own. You laugh at me for being different, I laugh at you for being the same. Oh and by the way, I'm not so happy." Beth walked away, leaving Kate leaning against the wall.

When Beth got home, she called Joe to tell him that she knew who was following her.
"So, it was Kate?" Joe said when Beth told him.
"Yes, finally, I have one less thing to worry about!" Beth answered.
"Well then how did Billie know someone was following you?"
"I don't know." Beth said with a puzzled look on her face.
"Well I got to go. See you tomorrow."
"See ya." Beth said as she hung up the phone. She laid on her bed and looked at the ceiling as if it had all the answers. She was oblivious to the things around her; she just laid there until she fell asleep.
"Wake up you ignorant pest." Beth's mother spit as she hit her with a stick.
"Why have you got a stick?" Beth asked, sitting up.
"Because when I came in your room, you wouldn't talk to me."
"Well punishment will have to wait; I have to go to school."
"Whatever." Her mother said dropping the stick to the floor.
"Stupid old hag." Beth mumbled as she walked out the door, still wearing the clothes she was wearing the day before.
"I heard that!" Her mother shouted. Beth ran out the door and she ran all the way to school.

"Smelly." Kate said as Beth walked past.
"Envy." Beth said back.
"You could have asked her how Billie knew." Joe said rushing up to Beth.
"But what if she didn't know Billie knew."
"Good point." Joe nodded as he turned towards the school. Beth had so many things rushing through her head she didn't know which way the school was. Joe saw her confused look and asked what was wrong.
"Nothing." Was her reply. "I just forgot something; I'll be back in a minute."
"Ok, I'll be waiting right here." Joe pointed to the spot he was in.
"No you go inside I'll meet you there."
"Ok, see ya in a minute." Joe waved hoping for a wave back but all he got to see was the back of Beth's head. So he turned back towards the school and headed for his locker.

Beth walked away with no intention of going back to school. She walked to Billie's house and knocked on his door.
"You want what?" Billie said as he opened the door, while eating a sandwich.
"I want to know how you know that Kate was following me." Beth practically shouted at him.
"Wait, shouldn't you be in school?!" Billie pointed at her with the hand the sandwich was in.
"You care why?"
"I... I'm... I don't know." Billie stood aside to let Beth in. Beth walked in the house and went through a door, then another door, then another door and walked into the living room. It had 3 sofas, a computer, a fire place, pictures of the family, 2 bookshelves & a massive TV which was on Kerrang! and ironically playing Slipknot.
"Great, Slipknot." Billie said as he took a bite out of his sandwich and spat it at the TV.

He then turned the channel over to Scuzz and they were playing St. Jimmy.
"Much better." Billie smiled. "So, what did you want? Oh yeah... um... well."
"Are you gonna tell me how you knew or are you just gonna gawp at yourself all day?" Beth was getting anxious.
"Ok, ok. Well when I ran Kate over Mike kept on telling me to visit her in hospital, so eventually I went."
"So, let me guess, she told you that she was going to follow me."
"Yes."
"Well why would she tell you?"
"Well actually she thought I was Jimbob. Whoever Jimbob is."
"Ok, I've never heard of Jimbob."
"Well who cares. You can go now." Billie said pointing to the door.
"Alright, alright. You might want to clean that screen though."
"OUT!!!" Billie shouted, practically throwing Beth out the door.

Beth walked the streets until she found herself outside the school. She went to walk in, but thought against it. She went home, got changed and ran. She had no idea where. She finally stopped outside the fire station. She looked at the man standing in front of her.
"You look just like you're mother." The man said. He grabbed Beth's hand and led her into a room with a table, chairs and a water dispenser.
"How's everyone?" Beth asked.
"Alright. We are fighting for you."
"I know." Beth said while getting a drink.
"So, how's school?"
"Alright. I do usually go to school."
"I know, sometimes you just need the day."
"Do you ever feel like, when something's pan out, they aren't actually panned out?"
"All the time. Nothing's simple. You know that. So when something seems simple, it doesn't feel right."
"But is it?"
"It depends entirely on the circumstances."
"I suppose. Well I better go. Say hi to mum for me." Beth said, walking out the door.
"I will. We really do love you."
"I know dad, I know." Beth walked out the door. She went home and felt like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders.
