Aeon Flux, chapter 5
The cold rain pelted against the windshield as Rayne, Tre, Billie Joe, Adi, Mike and Greyan sat in the parking lot of a run down motel.
"What are we doing here?" Tre asked leaning forward so his hand rested on the arm rest.
"Someone here will know who Kaye is," said Greyan as Rayne drove the car around the back.
"When Greyan and I get out lock the doors and don't let anyone else in," said Rayne as they pulled in front of room 72.
Both Rayne and Greyan stepped out of the van and walked over to the rusty metal door. Rayne pounded her fist against the side until a short, balding man answered. Billie Joe watched as he allowed them to come in, looked around, and then slammed the door shut.
The four sat there in silence hoping that the meeting wouldn't take too long. The Panorama Inn sat at an intersection in the downtown red light district. Its bright neon sign had gone out except for the 'I" and the paint on the side of the building was peeling off revealing rotten boards of wood. A young girl sat on the top of a car her legs dangling through the sun roof. In one hand she held a cigarette and in the other a bottle concealed with an LCBO bag. Her eyes were transfixed to the sky and the only movement coming from her was when she took a drag from her cigarette or a swig from the bottle. Billie Joe watched her for a few moments before turning back to look at his wife. Her face was pale and her eyes unfocused.
"You okay?" he asked draping his arm around her shoulder. She looked up at him as if to say 'what do you think?!?'
Fifteen minutes later Rayne and Greyan emerged and told the rest that they knew the whereabouts of Kaye. Unfortunately, she did not live around New York; instead her home was in Montreal. A twelve hour ride that no one felt like driving.
"If Camilla said to find Kaye there maybe our children are in Montreal as well," said Mike his eyes red and strained. "I say we go."
"He has a point," said Rayne "the last anyone saw Jezebel she was in Quebec so it sounds reasonable."
"Lets do it then," said Adi. "I'll go anywhere to find my children."

The car ride was dead quiet as everyone slept. By the early morning the bright lights of Montreal were seen in the distance and Rayne breathed a sigh of relief. They were one step closer to finding the kids and ending Jezebels tirade once and for all.

Jakob sat cross-legged on the damp moldy concrete floor. He was all alone in the room and he was scared shitless. Tear streaks were permanently defined on his mud caked face and his eyes were puffy from no sleep. He heard someone open a door above his head which was followed by creaking stairs as Ravus walked down them his boots assaulting each step.
"Hey kid,' he said grabbing Jacobs attention. "You gotta come with me."
"Please mister just leave me alone I swear... I... I... wont tell anyone who you are just let my brother and I go," he sobbed. "I told you... evry...evy...evrything and I Just want to see my mommy and daddy," he cried as Ravus grabbed his arm.
The older man dragged a kicking and screaming Jakob up the stairs past Jezebel who lay dead on the floor. Her brains had been blown out and clung to the carpet in fleshy chunks. Her blood was spread across the room from when her heart had been removed. Jakob let out a scream at the sight of her motionless body as Ravus took him out to the truck.
"Listen kid shut up and be quiet and I wont have to hurt you"
Jakob ignored the request and screamed his lungs out as the cold night air hit him. Ravus hit the small boy over the head knocking him unconscious as he put his small body in the back of the car. He then turned on the ignition and drove out into the darkness disappearing from view
