A New Start In England, chapter 1
"Wake up!" called Billie Joe at the door way switching the light on and off quickly.
"Ok, ok. I'm awake just stop with the light" Charlie called from under the covers. She groaned as she pulled them back to find the light still shinning brightly in her new room. She pulled herself out of bed and walked into the kitchen to find her dad (Billie Joe) making his breakfast
"Thanks" she said as she grabbed the plate inwhich Billie Joe had just put HIS toast on.
"Hey thats mine!"
"Not any more it aint. Any way who's got their big first day at a crappy english school? ME!!! So who gets first toast?...."
"ME!!!!" laughed Adrienne as she took the plate for herself
"That's so unfair" moaned Charlie as she got up to make her own.
"Anyway yes it is your first day so you had better hurry up and get ready you don't want to be late now do you?" continued Charlies mom
"Or do I?" she joked back. With this comment both Billie Joe and Adrienne gave her dirty looks. So Charlie finnished her breakfast and began to get ready. She pulled her stupid uniform out of the wardrobe and put it on. It was a pair of black trousers a blue shirt and blue and navy stripy tie and dark blue blazer. Charlie felt like a complete idiot in it, she was used to being able to wear what ever she wanted in America, but now she had to go to a English school with its unflattering English uniform. She tied her black hair up into a loose ponytail and put her make on.
She wandered back into the kitchen to find Tre and Mike in there talking to her dad about the upcoming tour they would be doing.
"Hey guys!" she said to them
"Hey! some one looks all pretty in their uniform" joked Mike as he caught sight of her. This comment only resulted in him having the bag Charlie was packing at the time thrown at him
"Shut it!... So I take it moms taking me to school then?"
"Yup! You know i would but I cant don't really want to be mobbed and have to change your schools again this quickly now would we?" Billie Joe replied
"Yeah I know. Would be a record though"
Billie Joe got up and gave her a hug
"Good luck"
"Oh I think I need it"
"Joey! Jakob! Time to go" called Adrienne
"We're coming" replied Joey as they both came running in.
"At least some ones excited for school" laughed Tre who shot up like a flash as Charlie threatened to throw her bag again.
They all left the house and piled into the car. Once they had dropped the boys off and had arrived at Charlies new school Adrienne leaned over and gave her daughter a hug.
"Be good"
"Oh so I'm not allowed to burn the school down?" Charlie said in a sarcastic tone
"Oh no you can do that" Adrienne replied jokingly.
Charlie got out of the car and started to walk into her new school.
It was a large modern building that just seemed to intimidate Charlie more. she walked through the door and tried to remember the way to her form room inwhich she had been shown when she first looked round a week ago. She turned right and walked along the corridor towards the room. She walked up to one girl who to Charlie seemed only to be a complete slapper.
"Hi! Is this Mrs Hooks room...H3?" she read off the back of her hand
"Yeah and who the hell are you?" the slapper replied
"Oh I'm Charlie. I just moved here from America and been put in this form" with this comment about 10 people turned round and stared at her. She just smiled rolled her eyes and wandered into the room.
"Oh hello you must be the new girl." Mrs Hook spoke in a slightly too cheary voice
"Yeah I must" Charlie muttered under her breath
"Charlotte isn't it?" the techer continued obviously not hearing her
"Erm...yeah but everone calls me Charlie"
"Right ok then, well if you'd like to take a seat there at the back" she said handing her Charlie's timetable
"Ok"
"Well I spose as I've already seen you talking to her Sammy can show you round for your first couple of days"
Sammy? Charlie ashumed she was the slapper
Oh joy she thought to herself as she hung her head into her arms.
