A New Start In England, chapter 4
"Hey Charlie you know how we've got this tour of England coming up...Well I was wondering if you'd like to come with some of your mates to the Birmingham venue so i can meet them."Billie Joe said to his daughter as he sat on the end of her bed as she was doing her art homework which invovled drawing him.
"Really?! Oh my God Dad that would be great. I'll bring Kate and Hayley as I feel I can trust them the most not to blab to the whole world"Charlie said running over to Billie Joe and giving him a huge hug.
"Well it's probably the best other wise they'll start to get suspicious to why they still haven't met me."
**next day at school**
"So Kate, Hayley ypu wonna go to the Green Day concert in January with me?" Charlie asked her friends.
"Hell yeah" they replied in unison
"My Dad will probably be able to bring us back"Charlie continued
"Wow so we'll finally meet ure dad? Well my mom will probably be able to take us" Hayley said
"Yup you can meet him. You'll be able to sleep round mine after too"
"Wow I'm well excited now"Kate said with a huge grin on her face.
**Day of the concert**
Charlie picks up her phone and reads her text..
'Hey Charlie it's your fantastic father asking if your coming backstage after the show or just hanging round like idiots till i come and meet you'
she replied saying
'yeah can we come back stage and use these back stage passes that you left here?'
'yeah thats cool'
So Charlie got her self ready she couldnt find anything decent to wear so just ended up throwing on what she had worn the day before. She never really understood why people dressed up so much for these sort of concerts. Hayleys mom arrived to pick them up at half five, and they went to pick kate up. On the way to the NIA they were listening to the American Idiot album, Charlie sung along to all the words and tried to act as though she was just an ordinary fan as not to ruin the suprise her mates would have later.
They had standing tickets so enjoyed the concert inside the mosh pit. Billie Joe saw Charlie getting crushed by a big fat bald guy and could help but laugh.
**After the show**
"Hey you guys ready to go?" Charlie asked as every one pilled out of the arena
"Yeah ok. Where's your Dad meeting us?"Hayley asked trying to sqeeze through a group of lads.
"Just round the back I'll show you the way"
"Oh ok" K8 replied looking slighty confused that Charlie knew her way around so well
"Yeah he's gonna just be through this door"
"But this is the way back stage"Hayley said even more confused than she had been earlier
"Yeah I know. Oh yeah that reminds me You'll Need these" Charlie said handing them the backstage passes.
"Shit!! these are backstage passes to see Green Day" Kate screamed looking at hers
"Well duh" Charlie joked
They walked passed the security guards and towards Green Day's dressing room. Charlie knocked on the door and walked in. Kate and Hayley were in a stunned silence.
"Oh so..errr...Dad meet Kate and Hayley" Charlie said trying not to laugh at the looks on their faces.
"Hi"Billie Joe said with his hand extended to shake theirs. They just stood there in silence with their mouths slightly open.
"You sure you aint just brought card board cut outs" Billie Joe whispered in Charlies ear
"Oh no they can move" Charlie replied. Charlie just walked over and picked up one of the guitars and sat on the sofa between Tre and Mike and began playing it.
"You Know you can come in and sit down" Tre told Kate and Hayley who were still standing in the door way
"Oh right ok sorry" Kate finally spoke snapping out of her trance, she walked over to the other sofa and sat down with Hayley following her.
"So yeah you finally met my Dad. Now you know why I have to move round so much and why it took so long for me to tell you who he was. I needed to trust you. You can't tell anyone this otherwise I'll have to move AGAIN"
"We promice" Kate and Hayley again said in unison they really did spent too much time together.
