*The Next Day*

I woke up in the morning feeling un-suicidal, like I would usually feel every morning, because that morning, I found a note under my door. This is what it said:

Pack your things. A Mr. Mike Dirnt is coming to collect you today at 11 AM sharp.

How glad I was to read that note. It was like a golden ticket to paradise. I was finally getting out of here, even though it had only been 2 1/2 weeks. I glanced at the clock in the taupe hallway. Shit! 10:30?!?!?! I had to get ready. And fast. I had a really quick shower, got changed into my cargos, Wallabies jumper and Vans, and shoved all my things into that ugly maroon suitcase I had been given before I left home. Then I glanced at the clock again. 10:55. Thank goodness.

45 minutes had passed. I was still sitting there. Waiting. How long could they be?

Another half-an-hour had gone by and still no sign of Mike. This is really weird. Its not like him to be late.

Finally, after another 15 minutes, I heard a knocking on my door. Finally. I ran over and opened it, expecting it to be Mike. Instead it was Matron, coming to take me to the Holding Bay, where I would be collected. I sat in there and waited even longer. While I was in there, my friends Huddo and Tash looked through the glass window and saw me in there. They ran in and asked me what I was doing.

"Getting out of here, what the fuck does it look like?" I replied.

They said goodbye and good luck before Matron came and shooed them out
.
"He won't be long, he's just filling out the paperwork," I was told by Matron.

Ahh. The paperwork, that would explain it.

10 minutes later. I was called into the Foyer, where Mike was waiting on the cold, hard, plastic chairs. I was given a pendant thingie by the Adoption Centre before I left forever. It was a sort of lion type thing, rather weird.

Me and Mike left the building and headed to the car. I put my suitcase into the boot and we started to drive. I took one last look at St. Joseph's Adoption Centre. Good Riddance I say.
