Soda Pop And Ritalin, chapter 3
When they arrived back at the house they could see that some of the lights were on that they hadn't turned on before they left. Billie seemed to ignore it and carried on walking up to the house but Jackie was getting worried.
"Were there any lights on when we left?" she asked worriedly.
"Nope."
"Then why are they on?"
"Mike and Tre are here ofcaurse. Its band practice." Billie Joe said calmly but knew Jackie wouldn't take it quite as calmly as he did.
"Excuse me?" she stuttered, "You're telling me, that my favourite band will be in the same room as me when we walk into that house?" Jackie said pointing at the house.
"Yep." Billie said and opened the door.
"Hey, he's here!" Tre said looking round from the sofa, "with an exceptionally beautiful girl." And as he said this he jumped out of the sofa, ran up to Jackie like a little boy, kissed her hand and said in a French accent, "Bonjour, my little beauty. And what is your name?"
Jackie laughed and replied, "Jackie. Je m'appelle Jackie."
"Wow she's good." He said standing up straight and letting go off her hand.
"Wow. She's also my new girlfriend." Billie said taking off Jackie's coat and chucking it on the sofa.
"Dammit." Tre said hitting his leg.
"How did you meet?" said a voice coming from the sofa. It was Mike who was sitting cross-legged reading the newspaper.
"On my midnight walk yesterday."
"I should really start walking more often." Tre mumbled and walked back towards the sofa making Jackie laugh a little.
"Jackie, let me introduce everyone. This is Tre," he said pointing to Tre, "And this is Mike."
"Hey." Mike said looking up off the newspaper.
"I know you kind of already know who they are but it seems more human this way."
"Yeh." Jackie laughed.
"So, why was a pretty girl like you out so late?" Tre asked Jackie.
"Well, it all started when... "

"What an asshole!" Tre said when Jackie had finished the story, "If I knew where he was I would kick his ass."
"He lives a few blocks away actually."
"Well, it's his unlucky day." Tre said getting off his seat and heading towards the door.
"Tre! You don't have to, honestly. He's not worth it." Jackie said behind him.
"Fine. But if I see him in the street he's gonna get a Tre beating."
Everyone laughed and Billie nearly choked on his root beer when he heard this.
"Aw, Tre. Your so pretty." Said Jackie still half laughing.
"Thank you." Tre said swinging his body and pouting like a little 7 year old.

It had been 30 minutes and everyone was watching TV.
"What happened to band practice?" Jackie asked.
Billie, Mike and Tre all looked at each other until Tre said, "Well, on Tuesdays this is what we do for band practice. Sometimes we sit around and talk until we have something to write about."
"Ok then." She said and snuggled in closer to Billie.
"Who wants Chinese?" said Mike.
"Oh, I do." Said everyone together.
"Ok, who'll come with me?"
"I will." Said Billie standing up making Jackie fall into the cushion.
"Ah." She squeaked.
"Sorry.' Billie laughed, "So you two will be ok then?"
"Yeh?" said Jackie looking at Tre. Tre nodded, "Yeh!"
"Ok then, bye." Billie said and waved together with Mike and they both walked out the door.
"So... what do you wanna do?" she asked.
"I'm glad you asked." And with that he leapt out of the sofa and into another room.
Jackie looked at the doorway waiting for Tre to come back and so he did. But with him he had his arms full of board games.
"You want to play board games?"
"Yep. What do you wanna play first?" he said spreading out all the games on the floor.
First she didn't really think he was serious but after a while she thought. What the hell. And pointed to Mousetrap.
"Good choice." He said and poured everything on the floor.
Who would have thought? Three days ago she was getting settled into a new town and now she's playing board games with who she thinks is the funniest person on earth. It seemed almost too easy.
