Soda Pop And Ritalin, chapter 5
It had been a week since the dream and Jackie hadn't stopped thinking about Tre and what would happen if they actually had an affair and Billie Joe found out. Surely he wouldn't shoot him.
"What are you thinking about?" Billie said, breaking the silence in the car.
"Oh, just us."
"Oh yeh? What about us?"
"Just how we've been together for like a week and a bit and it feels like I've known you for way longer then that." She lied.
"Ditto.' He said and smiled.
There was silence until they arrived at the studio.
"So. This is the studio." Billie Joe said getting out of the car.
Jackie got out along with him and followed him into the building. In the studio there was black laminated floors with 2 guitars, a bass, a keyboard and a drum kit all set up for recording. On the wall there was a whiteboard with 4 songs written on it. Whatsername, Letterbomb, Give Me A Novocaine and She's A Rebel. Big black cases were stacked up everywhere and cables were entangled into each other.
"Wow. I've never been at a studio before. This is really nice."
He laughed and took Jackie's hand and led her into a room with a snack machine in one corner, a corner-sofa in the other and two computers in the corner closest to the door. Mike and Tre were sitting on the sofa drinking beer and talking.
"We're her guys." Billie exclaimed. Mike and Tre both looked up and Mike said, "Good, now we can get started."

Jackie sat down on one of the cases a little bit away from the equipment where Billie Joe, Mike, Tre, Jason and Jason were plugging everything in for their new album; American Idiot. They all looked so amazing when they were playing their instruments, they weren't even performing and still Jackie loved it. A tear ran down her cheek and kissed her soft lips as it reminded her of the first time she went and saw them in Woodstock and she had loved them ever since. Billie was the person she mainly looked at but she would occasionally look at Tre but remembering her dream she quickly looked back at Billie.

"Rap it up people! You've got to get here a little earlier tomorrow if were gonna fit it all in so get some sleep." Said a guy in a megaphone from a window high above the floor.
The time had flown by so quickly. Jackie had been entranced by the songs and Billie's stare into what seemed like nowhere but for Billie it was a spot he always chose to look at when recording their new album.
"Ready to go?" he said.
"What? Yeh!" Jackie had been thinking about Tre for almost 15 minutes.
***
It was the day after and they had just finished recording their new album. Billie was sitting on the sofa with Jackie leaning on his shoulder.
"Oh!" Billie said nearly choking on his root beer, "I just remembered. We're having a party tonight at Mikes place, you know, for the new album and all. So I was wondering if you wanted to go with me?"
"Yeh sure."
Billie smiled. "Good, cause I got you this!" he said picking up a bag from the floor beside the sofa and passing it to Jackie.
Jackie looked into the bag only to find a small box. She looked back at Billie as if to ask him what it was and he signaled by gesturing towards the bag. Jackie picked up the small box and opened it with a soft 'click.' It was a silver charm bracelet. Jackie who had gotten very nervous to this part sighed with relief then smiled at Billie Joe and said, "Oh my God Billie, you shouldn't have." And with this she slipped on the bracelet and looked at the charms. There was a guitar, a shoe, a bus and a peace sign. When she had finished looking at it she jumped on top of Billie and hugged him.
"Thank you!"
"That's OK." He laughed.
"Tell me what every one of them means." She said calming down and leaning back in the sofa still looking at it.
"Well, This one," he said pointing to the peace sign "is just a random remark. The guitar is showing how musical you are. The shoe is when we met and you weren't wearing any shoes. And this one, is where we met."
Jackie looked at Billie thinking about how sweet he was and kissed him intensely. He kissed her back and I'm sure you know the rest.
It was the next day and during the whole day, Tre didn't even come to Jackie's mind once ... until the phone rang.
"What are you thinking about?" Billie said, breaking the silence in the car.
